Names of my favorite Hetalia ships and characters in Japanese and Chinese

This morning, after a lot of effort, finally I was able to register a Weibo account :D That means now I can access many other Chinese social platforms like Lofter, Bilibili, Baidu, etc. This is something I've wanted to do for a long time because there are many talented Chinese artists, writers, video makers, etc who create a lot of fandom resources (I don't know about other countries but in my country, most of the high-quality fanworks and merch we get are from Japan or China). I went on several social networks and searched; the results made me extremely happy. Because in addition to amazing fanworks, I also saw some posts from Chinese fans that make me happy and a little surprised. For example, there was a post against the Estonia wanna-be Nordic joke or posts about historical knowledge about Estonia (Maybe I'll do more detailed posts later, maybe posts like “attitudes and impressions of some Asian fans about Estonia”). To find such resources, you need to know those names to use as tags to search, so I'm going to list some of my favorite couples/ships’ and characters’ names. Also, to me, the couple's names sound very cute and meaningful in Japanese and Chinese so I usually add the Japanese names along with normal couple names when I make posts about my OTP or biases :3 These names also show how fans see the relationship between a certain couple: what do they have in common? What represents them? What connects them, etc. This is a very useful document for me because if I don't make this post as a preperation before searching, I have to retype all the names myself. This is very troublesome for someone who uses the Latin alphabet like me.

This post is more like a personal note lol.

A. Ships’ and characters’ names in Japanese and Chinese

I. My OTP’s/ships’ presentive name/nickname in Japanese/Chinese

1. DenEst (Denmark/Estonia)

- Japanese: 青狮子组 (Aojishigumi) / Chinese: 青狮子组

- Meaning: Blue Lion couple

2. HongTai (HongKong/Taiwan)

- Japanese: 香る梅 (Kaoru ume) /Chinese: 香梅

- Meaning: Fragrant plum flower couple

3. NorIce (Norway/Iceland)

- Japanese: 鯨組 (Kujiragumi) / Chinese: 鯨組

- Meaning: Whale couple

4. NethBel (Netherlands/Belgium – my mind tells me they are not siblings, same with NorIce)

- Japanese: チューリップ兄妹 (Chu-rippukeimai) / Chinese: 郁金香兄弟姐妹

- Meaning: Tulip couple/siblings

5. AusHun (Austria/Hungary)

- Japanese: ロデエリ (Rodeeri) or ほんわか夫婦 (Honwaka couple) / Chinese: 中欧夫妇

- Meaning: Central European couple

II. Names of some of my BrOTPs (I have many BrOTPs, so I will just list my top favorites)

1. PruHun (Prussia and Hungary)

- Japanese: ぴよ花 (Piyohana) / Chinese: 啾花组

- Meaning: Chirp flower couple

2. PolHun (Poland and Hungary)

- Japanese: 友情記念日 (Yūjō kinenbi) / Chinese: 友情纪念日

- Meaning: Friendship Anniversary/Memorial Day couple (Yesss this name is perfect for this brOTP of mine)

3. FinEst (Finland and Estonia)

- Japanese: ウラル組 (Urarugumi) / Chinese: 乌拉尔组

- Meaning: Ural Couple

4. AmeEst (America and Estonia)

- Japanese: ITコンビ (aithi-konnbi) /Chinese: IT组

- Meaning: IT couple

5. UsUK

- Japanese: 味覚音痴コンビ (Deaf taste combination haha) or アルアサ (AruAsa) / Chinese: 味音痴组 or 米英/英米 (UsUK/UKUs)

- Meaning: Both literally means Deaf taste couple or couple that has no sense of taste lol

6. FrUk

- Japanese: フラアサ (FraAsa) or ナイスドーヴァー (Naisudōvu~ā - Nice Dover) / Chinese: dover组

- Meaning: Dover couple

7. AmeCan

- Japanese: 北米兄弟 (Hokubei kyodai) / Chinese: 北美双子

- Meaning: North American Brothers

8. AmeJap

- Japanese: デコボコンビ (Dekobokonbi) / Chinese: 凸凹组

- Meaning: Uneven/decombo combination

9. SwissLiech

- Japanese: 中立兄妹 (Chuuritsukeimai) or 中立兄弟 (Chuuritsukyoudai) / Chinese: 中立兄妹

- Meaning: Neutral couple/siblings

III. My favorite characters’ names (I have way too many favorite characters, so again, just my top favorites are listed):

1. Estonia (country name): Japanese: エストニア (Esutonia) / Chinese: 爱沙尼亚 (Aishaniya) (the first letter in Estonia’s Chinese name reads “Ai” means love, affection, feelings. I think it’s cute :3)

- Eduard von Bock (hnnn this name makes me cringe but anyway): Japanese: エドァルド・フォンヴォック (Edoarudo fon Bokku) / Chinese: 爱德华·冯·波克 (Àidéhuá·féng·bō kè)

2. Hungary: Japanese: ハンガリー (Hangari) / Chinese: 匈牙利

- Elizabeta Héderváry (another name makes me uncomfortable, but I have to follow the original tag I guess): Japanese: エリザベータ・ヘーデルヴァーリ/ Chinese: 伊丽莎白·海德薇莉

3. Belgium: Japanese: ベルギー (Berugi - real country name) and ベルベル (Pixiv tag name) / Chinese: 比利时

- Doesn’t have human name yet

4. America: Japanese: アメリカ (Amerika) / Chinese: 美国

- Alfred F. Jones: Japanese: アルフレッド・F・ジョーンズ (arufureddoefujo-nnzu) / Chinese: 阿尔弗雷德·F·琼斯

5. Taiwan (country name): 台湾

- Japanese: 湾ちゃん (Wann – chan)

- Chinese: Family name: 林晓梅 (Lin Xiaomei) / 林乙玲 (Lin Yiling)

Nicknames: 王梅梅 (Wang Meimei), 王湾 (Wang Wan), 湾妹 (Wān mèi), 湾酱 (Wān Jiàng), 湾娘 (Wān Niáng)

IV. Favorite trios:

1. Finland/Estonia/Hungary:

- Japanese: ウラルトリオ (Urarutorio) / Chinese: 乌拉尔三人组

- Meaning: Uralic trio

2. Austria/Hungary/Prussia

- Japanese: フライパングル (Furaipannguru) / Chinese: 铁三角

- Meaning: Iron Triangle Trio in Chinese and Frying pangle in Japanese

3. Belgium/Netherlands/Luxembourgh or Benelux

- Japanese: ネーデルトリオ (ne-derutorio) or you can use チューリップ兄. Since it literally means “Tulip siblings” sometimes it is used to address the Benelux siblings, but people usually use this name to refer NethBel / Chinese: not found yet

- Meaning: Neder Trio in Japanese

V. Finally, my nOTPs or nonCPs but I think their ship’s names are interesting or cute:

1. RusEst (Russia and Estonia)

- Japanese: ユキツバメ(Yukitsubame) / Chinese: 雪燕组

- Meaning: Snow Swallow couple

2. PruEst and GerEst (Prussia and Estonia, Germany and Estonia)

- Japanese: ヤグルマギクコンビ (Yagurumagikukonnbi) / Chinese: 矢车菊组

- Meaning: Cornflower Couple

3. SwissBel (Switzerland and Belgium)

- Japanese: チョコ同盟 (Chokodoumei) / Chinese: 巧克力同盟

- Meaning: Chocolate alliance/union

4. FraBel (France and Belgium)

- Japanese: チョコマカロン (Chokomakaronn) / Chinese: 巧克力马卡龙

- Meaning: Chocolate macaron couple (Personally I think about a frienemy relationship between Baguettes and Waffles lol)

5. EngBel (England and Belgium)

- Japanese: チョコっとティー (chokottothi) / Chinese: 巧克力茶组

- Meaning: Chocolate tea couple

6. SpaBel (Spain and Belgium)

- Japanese: オレンジワッフル (Orennjiwaxtsufuru) / Chinese: 桔子华夫饼

- Meaning: Orange waffle couple

7. LuxBel (Luxembourg and Belgium)

- Japanese: クリスタル姉弟 (Kurisutaru kyodai) / Chinese: 水晶姐弟

- Meaning: Crystal siblings

B. Sample forms for asking for permission

I use this to get permission from artists every time I want to repost or share their works. I strongly oppose posting or re-sharing pictures without the artist's permission. Drawing takes years of practice, lots of effort, and time, so please respect artists and ask for their opinion. In addition, in countries with strict copyright laws like Japan, having paintings taken without permission can even affect an artist's career. So please only repost artists’ artworks with their permission!

Translate: Nice to meet you, (artist’s name). My name is (your name). May I repost your art on Facebook (link to your Facebook/Instagram/Tumblr.etc ) to share your illustrations? 2. Chinese

衝動

フラアサ。なんだかんだで仲いいよね！カッチリしてると脱がしたくなるアレです。

きちっと服を着込んだイギリス突然訪問したフランスに茶葉をふんだんにいれた苦い紅茶を淹れると、すぐに仕事へと向き直った回転椅子が軽く軋む音がすれば、フランスは紅茶を飲みながら下半身が熱く感じたムラっとした衝動。昨夜の性か・・と声にならぬ声でフランスが呟いた

柔らかいソファからフランスが立ち上がれば、視界に入っていたのか、イギリスから遊ばないぞ。の一言

衝動に駆られたフランスは、その一言では止まらず、背もたれに寄りかかるイギリスの背後まで歩み寄ったなんだよ。と見上げたイギリスの表情は困惑していて、それが可愛く、愛しく見えたのか、啄ばむ口付けを落とした

「だから、なんだ・・よ」「いやー？お兄さんちょっとムラムラしちゃった」「はあ！？なに寝ぼけたこと言ってんだ！」「いや寝ぼけてないよ、すごい覚醒しちゃってる」「そうじゃねえだろ！！仕事の邪魔だ、出てけ！！」

イギリスの怒鳴り散らす声も慣れ、はいはい。と流すように応えた不機嫌さが見て取れるイギリスの耳元にも口付け、ごめん。と謝れば、耳を赤くする様子に喉を鳴らして笑ったフランス

納まらない衝動に、イギリスの背中から手を侵入させた。冷たくて、長くて、細いフランスの手が背中から、緩やかにお腹の回りへと移動し、徐々にフランスの手が這い上がっていぞくり。と背筋が震えたイギリスがフランスに向かって肘を突き出しエルボーを喰らわそうとすれば、先にフランスの爪先がイギリスの乳首へと触れた不意にイギリスが感じた声を出せば、恥ずかしさから、それを隠すように椅子から立ち上がり、怒鳴った

「ばっかじゃねえの！！！！！」「ばかじゃないの、それに、感じてくれてるんでしょ？」「感じてなんかねえよ・・！」「おにーさん、今ならすごい張り切っちゃうよ」

その怒声に困ったようにはにかんだ。イギリスはフランスの手を服の中から出せば、またきちっと着直した残念そうに呟くフランスの本音に耳を赤らめたイギリスは椅子に座りなおしフランスに背を向け、黙り込もうと仕事の書類へ目を向けた

すぐに書類を抑えるように、机に手を置き、イギリスの赤い耳へと唇を寄せたフランスくすぐったいくらいに小さい声と、吐息。唇が触れそうになると気が気じゃないイギリスは、五月蝿い！と言いながら両手で勢いよく机を叩いた

「仕事してるって言ってんだろ！！！」「・・それって仕事が終わったらしてくれるって解釈しちゃっていい？」

ぷるぷると体を小刻みに震わせながら、真っ赤な顔をフランスへ向け叫んだ

「ばかぁ！！」
