The Reasons Why Terra Branford Will Appear in FF7R

To the average person, the title sounds absurd, but I can’t blame anyone for that since this information isn’t just swimming around in YouTube videos.

There are a lot of hints that Cloud is the original main character of FF6 and his love interest was going to be Terra, and although this post has some of those hints, it isn’t about that since it’s mostly about if Terra will be a character in FF7R.

1. To start this all off, here's the piece of dialog from the Children's Hideout in the Sector 5 slums.

This quote doesn't show that she's appearing in FF7R by itself, but this is connected with the storyline involving Jessie ("princess" stuff). I started off with this to immediately show that there’s more to the story that meets the eye.

I’ve had this sneaking feeling that Terra will interact with this orphanage in the future. I guess it’s because of one moment during an interview where it’s pointed out that Biggs & perhaps Jessie being alive means that they’re in an alternate world. This alternate world will be the one where strange things can happen without disrupting OG FF7′s story.

2. The dialog between Tifa & Leslie in the sewers shows that Cloud will have a "reunion" of some sort. The only other character in FF7R that this could be about is Aerith, but when they meet in the Shinra building...nothing really happens. The "Reunion" was originally a plot element for Jenova, and isn’t Jenova very similar to Terra? It could be that the whole idea of "Reunion" from OG FF7 was created because of the distant possibility that Terra & Cloud would reunite as the FF6 Opera says.

That's because it's about Terra, however, this one dialog doesn't hint at her appearing as a character in the middle of FF7R...although it seems very unrealistic that in 3 parts we'll just get hints. Leslie was designed after the main character of FF6, and is a very big hint for it appearing in Part 1.

I’m certain there are many people wondering why in the world Cloud reacted so strangely to his story.

3. The lyrics to "Hollow" do imply that she'll be a character in FF7R.

"Shine bright, once more Guide me, to you Smile bright, once more This time, I will never let you go."

This is Terra speaking, since Cloud is ultimately the one that needs to "smile". It's also in the FF6 Opera ("Oh my hero, so far way now, will I ever see your smile?").

In both the FF6 Opera and Loveless it's assumed that the guy will return to meet the girl (who’s waiting for him), which despite the change it’ll likely still happen that way at the end of FF7R. I guess Terra's tired of waiting?

Instrumentation-wise, "Hollow" is also very similar to "Terra's Theme" and also "Awakening", so there's a real possibility that "Hollow" is literally Terra's FF7R theme. If this is the case, then it is a big hint that she'll be a character in FF7R...even a playable one.

Jessie may have served as a "placeholder" to Terra, being that she's called a "stagehand". Her quoting of the FF6 Opera at random times sort of proves it in a way. Also, the Gold Saucer song plays in the Children's Hideout...but that's not conclusive evidence by itself that Terra will do something in the Gold Saucer.

The main theme of FF7 plays in the Sector 7 slums. The main theme of FF7R plays in the Sector 5 slums.

There are a couple of hints that Terra is being treated as the main character of FF7R rather than FF6.

- When an FF6 story comes up in DFFOO, it’s usually about Celes & Locke more than Terra. Terra gets more involved in FF7 ones (more later).

- The credits of WoFF had both Celes & Terra, a strange choice. It’s stranger when you see who Terra appears with (Squall and Celes right before them represent the “fill the world with flowers” dream and the FF6 Opera respectively).

- This banner below is an oddity...why does Bartz get so much room? Why is the 2nd row so cramped? The general rationale is that Terra is being secretly represented as FF7R, and the other 3 FF7 characters can’t be pushed up so she ended up (I mean down) in the 2nd row.

4. The first Rebirth trailer is very different from all the trailers that preceded Remake. There were no real "hints" in the Remake trailers about Terra...except maybe a little of the "Hollow" theme trailer.

The Remake trailers were very focused on Aerith, Tifa, and Jessie (the one from Game Awards 2019 was the more guilty one of that). The Rebirth trailer though had Tifa ask Cloud if he thought she was an "impostor" (in Japanese - "You're implying as if someone else was there instead.")

Then it showed Zack carrying Cloud, and Zack informing Aerith that he in some way failed her. Weird isn't it? Why would they put this in the first trailer of Rebirth?

You know of the "if it's not Aerith it's Tifa" mindset? Yet, this trailer for Rebirth makes it seem like they're going straight for Terra, as everything mentioned in it (yes, even the Sephiroth/Jenova thing) is a hint in that direction.

What I mean here is that Tifa & Aerith’s connections to Cloud are being deconstructed far earlier than I anticipated. It makes sense since the “D-chasing” was done in Remake...why do it again when Zack’s now alive causing stomach-knots to Aerith? If Tifa is the only one left, why not sow the seeds of doubt early and make the Surprise™ happen later on?

What’s more surprising? Finding out how dies or finding out who is Cloud’s love interest after a quarter-century of waiting?

There is actually no indication that Zack was talking to Aerith in the Rebirth trailer as it could have been a copy-paste job that many trailers are guilty of. Who knows, he could have been talking to that "someone else".

5. We'll start here with the hints from other games.

Every time Terra meets Cloud or Sephiroth in Dissidia, WoFF, Dissidia NT, and Opera Omnia, she's at an FF7 location.

- Dissidia - The Planet’s Core (where the ending of FF7 begins). - WoFF - Nibelheim Mountains (Cloud has to run past Nibelheim itself to get to where Terra & Lightning are). - Dissidia NT - Midgar Sector 5 (Zidane mentions that he's on a date with her, which sounds like something Zack would say). - Opera Omnia - The Shinra Mansion (And Vincent's first appearance in ages.) Gongaga (after fighting Safer Sephiroth).

6. Aerith's Lost Chapter has two scenes with Terra, notable in that she's the only non-FF7 protagonist in them.

The first is after defeating Kefka who tried to enslave Aerith for her "powers". She shares the scene with Tifa, Aerith, and Cloud...which I find funny, no offense.

The other one is the last cutscene where she is with Vincent, Yuffie, Cloud, and Aerith. Terra leaves with Vincent, Yuffie, and Cloud...leaving Aerith to deal with Sephiroth who just blatantly tells her that he's no longer interested in her.

Aerith's Lost Chapter has a hint that Aerith may lose her Ancient status by changing her fate, and Sephiroth telling her that she's no longer interesting is supposed to be a hint that he's now interested in Terra, because...

(well, surely Terra was in that scene for a reason)...

7. In Dissidia NT he tries to stab her for no apparent reason...in Midgar of all places. Dissidia NT released just a little after Aerith's Lost Chapter, so it couldn't just be a coincidence.

Consider, if Terra wasn't in FF7R, how could Sephiroth stab her? Why would Sephiroth stab her?

I have to mention, but Zidane mentions that he’s on a “date” with Terra...doesn’t it sound like something Zack would say?

8. In WoFF when Terra meets Cloud in "For Friends or Vengeance", she tells Cloud to stop hating Sephiroth...the first thing Sephiroth asks Cloud to do in the FF7 Remake.

Not only that, but she succeeds in getting Cloud to stop chasing Sephiroth for the time being, and was the only character to do such a thing. There was no real backstory of "Cloud needing to stop chasing Sephiroth" until this very moment in WoFF.

This paints a big red target on Terra, and is a reason why she has to appear in FF7R to have this section of the story make sense. The memories of Aerith's death are seen as a negative in the WoFF scene, since it’s the catalyst of why Cloud hates Sephiroth in WoFF.

One of Tifa's lines in FF7R Chapter 3 is similar to Terra's in that WoFF scene - “Cloud...You’re scaring me.”

The scenarios are rather similar, although WoFF Cloud doesn’t put people to sleep with his giant sword.

9. All Chapter 7's of Opera Omnia are always FF7 chapters to a rather major degree.

Act 1 Chapter 7 - Terra & Cloud & Vincent...yep, it was basically that. Act 2 Chapter 7 - Zack & Cloud & FF15 cast Act 3 Chapter 7 Part 1 - FF6 & FF12 & FF7 Act 3 Chapter 7 Part 2 - FF7...and Cloud remembers the Dissidia flower dream at the end.

This screen is from Act 3 Chapter 7 Part 2 and they’re in Gongaga. They just beat up the final boss of FF7 and this dialog is what we got from it...

There is strong emphasis on Terra in these chapters except the Act 2 one, but 2018 - 2019 was the time when Zack was being pumped out in every game like he was alive again (he almost got into Dissidia NT), so...

Btw, it rains non-stop in Act 1 Chapter 7, and isn't "Hollow" described as "Cloud standing in the rain"? It also rains at the beginning of Zack & Aerith's Lost Chapter, but it gets sunny later in those.

Since these are FF7 chapters and not FF6, we can more safely say that Terra will be involved in FF7 due to her being an important character in them. Terra in the FF6 chapters is kinda just there compared to Celes and Locke...she just really dislikes Kefka (shows how much of a storyline she would have had with Cloud if he wasn't cut from FF6).

If you never have played Act 1, Chapter 7...it’s pretty upfront at what it shows...

10. Before the release of Rebirth, we have or are soon getting:

- Pixel Remaster of FF6 - YouTube ads of said FF6 Remaster - $14,000 statue of Terra Branford (Non-Refundable Down Payment ignored) - 3 games involving Isekai characters (Stranger of Paradise, KH4, Forspoken [the Terra simulator w/o the Terra]) - Terra appears with her dad Maduin in Chocobo GP without needing to grind or buy her - The Dissidia flower dream involving Cloud, Terra, Onion Knight, and Firion has been mentioned four times in Opera Omnia (in the Japanese app, if you're only familiar with Global).

There's still an year and a half remaining until the planned release of Rebirth, so there may be more! Crisis Core itself has a very big hint that is connected to Dissidia, and that's getting Remastered too...they are going to have people replay OG FF7, AC, CC, DoC, and BC with Ever Crisis, so in some ways they want the entirety of FF7 to be in the minds of everyone. Makes me wonder about Dissidia’s fate...

11. When the FF7 Remake was first planned for the PS3, we got the entire FF7 Compilation AND Dissidia before the idea was scrapped. We got these things to lead up to the scrapped PS3 Remake. This is the reason why the Cloud/Terra stuff appeared again in 2015 - 2017, as the Remake was announced for the first time. WoFF was announced right before FF7R, a way of bringing it attention (it was WoFF that got me doing this in the first place~).

The cryptic hints about Terra in the FF7 Compilation and Dissidia right before the Remake are themselves hints that she would appear in FF7R. The FF7 Compilation was made to more easily insert Terra into the game, which is why they're not changing anything about Crisis Core Reunion (it was made with Terra's appearance in mind, unlike OG FF7).

If Zack was his OG FF7 self, he wouldn't have given the Buster Sword to Cloud, nor his dreams, nor would he have lived a "mirror" life to Cloud such as when he fell into Aerith's church. Zack is also the most likely character to "host" Terra in FF7R since he would not disrupt Cloud's OG FF7 story (unless you believe 4chan leaks over the developers). This wouldn't be likely if Crisis Core never existed.

Flowers are important, don’t ignore them.

Advent Children on the other hand was a way to insert orphans into Cloud's story, which is the main connection between him and Terra. Without Advent Children the orphans in FF7R would have been too much of a random change. Flowers could have been used, but everyone thinks of Aerith in relation to flowers, so it wouldn't have made anyone question anything.

In Dirge of Cerberus, Vincent gets his own version of the "Moogle Girl" (Shelke) to "forgive" him of his sins. Noting Vincent's appearance in Act 1 Chapter 7 of Opera Omnia though, it's likely he'll be involved in this (perhaps because of Lucrecia, since why not add another pairing into FF7R to change the fate of?) Tifa in DFFOO says that Vincent will want to change his fate in "their world", so it is not a mere theory.

12. The Terra on the $14,000 statue looks a tad different. She has noticeably longer hair. This doesn't sound like much, but Nomura has this idea that female love interests should be "imperfect" and have shorter hair.

The reason why they'd give her longer hair other than the aesthetics of the statue is because she's competing with Tifa, Aerith, and Jessie (all well-liked characters). Sure, she rides a mech, but there have been complaints about how they made her look and act in the Dissidia games. Being the love interest of one of if not the greatest RPG protagonist of all time isn’t an easy task to pull off after waiting a quarter of a century expecting it to be someone we already know.

If she wasn't going to be an important character soon, then why the statue anyway? It’s being released around a month before Winter 2023, the planned release window of Rebirth.

This may be her actual appearance, but only time will tell...why wouldn’t it be if it costs more than a car?

It doesn’t seem long due to her hair being up, but it’s much longer than it usually is. It’s also has more volume (for reference, her hair in Dissidia NT only goes a little past the upper part of her shoulders and looks thin.

13. There are quite a few times where Zack appears with characters that are eerily similar to Terra in the spinoffs (or Terra herself actually). The only plausible explanation for this sort of hint is if Terra actually meets Zack in FF7R.

In WoFF we got the cutscene with Serah and Zack. This cutscene appears to be tied with a cutscene in the "Terra Wars" DLC where Noctis meets Sarah (it's the first part of the scene where Noctis wakes up). Sarah means "princess" and Noctis is an actual prince (not to mention the "princess" stuff in FF7R and the appearance of a Sarah [Whack-A-Box girl]).

FF13-2 has a storyline involving Serah (clearly designed after Terra) traveling with Noel to change the fate of Lightning and Snow and whatever else by a bunch of time traveling hijinks...kinda similar to FF7R.

In DFFOO's 5th anniversary poster they put Terra above the other characters in her row, obscuring a part of Zack. Firion (who represents the flower dream) is more in front of Cloud.

Take a look at Zack’s hands in this photo. Why is Terra so “up there”?

When Zack got his BT weapon he appeared prominently with Rydia and Sherlotta. Rydia summons Terra using her FR weapon, which is likely because Terra was somewhat designed after Rydia. Rydia also appears with Tifa & Cloud in WoFF.

Sherlotta has Terra's story and is likely a cut cat Terra was supposed to have in FF6 (symbolized by Cait Sith in FF7, which Sherlotta summons with her FR weapon). Right after the Sherlotta/Zack banner we got a Terra/Aerith/Shadow banner, so this can't just be a coincidence.

Enna Kros' (who's similar to Sherlotta) banner had Zack, Reno, and Rude, all the characters that would be related with Aerith. [All 4 of these banners are posted at the end.]

Zack appears with Cloud, Terra, Firion, and Onion Knight in the cutscene where Cloud recalls his memory of the Dissidia flower dream in Act 3, Chapter 7 Part 2′s ending (pic posted above).

This is a major hint as there are multiple occurrences. It is very hard to believe that Zack will not have something to do with Terra. Good thing he’s in an alternate timeline.

The only thing that goes against this right now is...4chan leaks.

14. The whole existence of the "Arbiters of Fate" seems pointless at first glance. No one was expecting the FF7 Remake to be exactly the same as OG FF7, and many changes don't even cause the ghosts to appear! Chapter 4 is completely off the rails, yet no ghosts, NADA. There's a magic orphanage in Sector 5, but ghosts aren't blowing it up or anything. We fought Rude right by Aerith's house, but he wasn't uppercutted by any ghosts. Wedge never had an obsession with cats, but ghosts didn't blow them up. Jessie shouldn't have had Ifrit, Restore, or Barrier materia, but the ghosts didn't steal them. That Leslie thing in the sewers where he cryptically summarizes how he left FF6 although it was actually Cloud, yeah, no ghosts stopping that. Additional boss battles? No ghosts to assassinate them!

It may be that the real reason they put the ghosts is to get players used to extreme, unexpected changes. Zack suddenly being alive is not as stupid as it would have been! Terra appearing in the game is almost tame compared to all that! If Terra only appeared at the very end, then why change anything? Terra appearing as a playable character though...you can't do that without some strange ghost entities and Opera Omnia torsion scenarios about fate changing.

Why change FF7 otherwise? If the developers said that the original story of FF7 will go as expected, then why is Zack alive? Well, because Zack can do his own story, and the hints that he'd be involved with Terra make perfect sense in this regard.

15. There is this small storyline in Remake involving some sort of “dancing dream” revolving Ms. Folia. This is just like Firion’s dream in Dissidia about the “Wild Rose”, which is probably why her name is Folia.

The hint that makes this rather significant is found at Aerith’s house on the first floor.

It’s one of those book racks missing book “II”, which is Firion’s game in the series. The couple on the painting are dancing, and since Cloud’s ability to dance comes outta nowhere...what’s to say it won’t happen later?

The point here is, anything related to a “dream” is a tie-in to both Cloud & Terra as this is connected to Firion’s dream in Dissidia. The dream in Dissidia to fill the world with flowers is most likely cut content from FF6 as that’s why flowers are important in Cloud’s story (and why Terra’s clothes have them, don’t forget that). This means there’s already a “dream” in FF6, so this one “dream” about dancing should happen in FF7R as having two “dreams” in the same game (which would be FF6R) doesn’t sound right.

Ms. Folia reveals the dream at the Honeybee Inn, and you know honeybees pollinate flowers, right? That’s why the Honeybee Inn was made, because flowers are what remind Cloud of what he lost (and the existence of the “&$#% room”). The FF6 Opera ends with a dance scene.

16. Too many more hints without Terra appearing will ruin the surprise. It’s very clear that it’s supposed to be a surprise, since not a single soul from Square-Enix alludes to it in any interview or anything else that isn’t just in-game.

The three flowers Cloud can give to the orphanage are the hint for this.

Yellow - Reunion, already explained by Aerith at the start of the game.

White - “People used to give these to declare their loyalty to one another. Interesting, right?”

Foxtails - “I gotta hand it to you, I never would have thought of that. It’ll definitely take them by surprise.”

So, Cloud will reunite with someone he’s loyal to, it’ll be a surprise...and it’s related to the orphanage/orphans/moogles (you can only really tie these things to Terra). No one knows Cloud was once planned to be the main character of FF6. They take Sakaguchi’s 1994 V-Jump interview too literally (y’know, Terra originally being male although Nomura’s drawing below disproves it) and just think Terra looked like Squall.

Squall was designed after Cloud’s prototype from FF6, hence his name (FF8 actually proves Clerra exists by itself, a big reason why the FF6 Opera is integrated in its story).

17. Terra’s involvement in the story of FF7R has already been hinted at in FF7 Remake, DFFOO, WoFF, Dissidia NT, Dissidia 012, Dissidia, FF13-2, FF13-3, Crisis Core, Kingdom Hearts 3, Advent Children, Sephiroth’s trailer for Smash, and let’s just add FF7 & FF6 & maybe every Final Fantasy game for good measure as they constantly have characters made after both Cloud & Terra, usually as the main love interests, or as something cut from Terra in FF6 (like her cat, her childhood, her dancing, y’know, stuff that’s really hard to prove, Lol).

If people didn’t get it by this point, then that’s too bad. She was being hinted at before she became a 3D character in 2008, which should tell you something. Is there really a need for another game to do the same?

18. They already made “Terra”.

They just called her Frey, because no one knows Clark Kent is Superman or Bruce Wayne is Batman.

There’s already a lot of mechs in FF7 Remake, but they didn’t have a person sitting on the top. Well, intergrade solved that problem.

In this regard, Sonon Kusakable is similar to Cid and Nero is similar to Vincent for the same reasons. Create the character as a different character before they debut.

Then you’ll say that Frey isn’t made in Unreal Engine, but who says Epic didn’t pre-program a Terra into their own engine?

And they appeared at roughly the same time? That’s almost a conspiracy theory!

When I look back at the earlier Unreal engine demos...they weren’t as peaceful as this one. A one-handed magic girl with a scarf/cloak, a ponytail, with flight abilities isn’t a common thing to see, twice...and in an Unreal demo.

Frey’s equipment consists of a bunch of cloaks and she has a cat just like Serah. Not to mention she’s clearly an Isekai, it’s the first thing the first trailer mentions...also, she’s an orphan.

The most weird thing about Forspoken is how much attention is given to Frey. and it’s strange that she doesn’t have any companions...not a common thing to see in a Square-Enix game.

Not only is Terra already made, but her magic spells are as well. How many characters in games are so “magic-only” without any Elder Scrolls/MMO-level character customization? Flashy magic was lacking in FF7 Remake (is that a reason by itself that Terra will be in the game too?)

Oh yeah, FF5 already did that! Oh yeah, Jenova already did that!

Why does Krile dress so similarly to Terra? Is that a reason why Terra will be in FF7R too!?!?

サイエンスや生物などのテキスト以外の素材が考えられます。

ヨーロッパでの一般データ保護規則(GDPR)でも言うように・・・

年収の低い個人（中央値で６００万円以下）から集めたデータほど金銭同様に経済的に高い価値を持ち、独占禁止法の適用対象にしていくことで、高価格にし抑止力を持たせるアイデア。

自分自身のデータを渡す個人も各社の取引先に当たりデータに関しては優越的地位の乱用を年収の低い個人（中央値で６００万円以下）に行う場合は厳しく適用していく。

そして

現実世界には、２つの金融の仕組みが長い年月をかけて構築されており、預金者からお金を借りてお金が必要な人に仲介業者（銀行の金融機関）を通じて貸し出すことを「間接金融」といいます。

代表的な間接金融の商品が「銀行からの貸し出し（自らの預金が源）」「手形」です。

日本は、こちらに重点が置かれていますが、世界では直接金融が主流かもしれません。

もう一つの仕組みとして、お金を必要とする相手に直接お金を出資するのが直接金融と言います。

主な直接金融の商品に有限責任の「株式」「債券」があります。ベンチャーキャピタルやエンジェル投資家もこちらの分野です。

また、経済学は、大前提としてある個人、法人モデルを扱う。それは、身勝手で自己中心的な欲望を満たしていく人間の部類としては最低クズというハードルの高い個人、法人。

たとえば、生産性、利益という欲だけを追求する人間。地球を救うという欲だけを追求する人間。利益と真逆なぐうたらしたい時間を最大化したいという欲を追求する人間。などの最低生活を保護、向上しつつお金の循環を通じて個人同士の相互作用も考えていく(また、憎しみの連鎖も解消する)

多様性はあるが、欲という側面では皆平等。つまり、利益以外からも解決策を見出しお金儲けだけの話だけではないのが経済学(カントの「永遠平和のために」思想も含めて国家や権力者は透明性を究極にして個人のプライバシーも考慮)

違いは、言葉の定義。

1、親族内。 2、他人同士で金利ゼロ返済不要。行政府経由なら「給付」という言葉の定義になる。サンデルの言う強者から弱者にマネーが100%流れれば善悪ない。 3、他人同士で金利ゼロか有りの返済付きで場合によりマイナス金利もある。

この場合、既存通貨は、追跡できないことが問題点。弱者をしつこく追跡することは法律違反で独占禁止法の優越的地位の濫用になります。通貨や人間が悪いわけではない場合が多い。

なら、政治資金規正法改正して、既存通貨の他に追跡できるデジタル通貨の形式で政治家限定で歳費支給したらどうなるだろうか？現状の歳費支給にプラスしてデジタル通貨分もプラスするから給与アップになる。追跡できるから不正もできない。

政治家への既存通貨での寄付は厳格に条件を決めた範囲内で政治資金規正法で透明化するのはいいこと。現実的に現状このルートは、デジタル通貨にせず、日本の場合は検察当局の存在理由も維持する��めもあります。将来的にはデジタル通貨に完全移行が望ましいけど。

政治家からの既存通貨での弱者個人(選挙区内)への寄付は、自らの裁量で年収の低い弱者(選挙区内)だけに行うなら善性に沿うかもしれない。法律化しても問題ない。こちらも将来的には、デジタル通貨なら自動で透明化、効率化できます。

なお、国内の格差縮小にも貢献できるだろうし、万が一、強欲大中法人が賃金を下げてしまっても政治家が下支えできるという政治家本能やお互いの幸福も社会システムに組み込めます。

政治家から弱者低収入個人への寄付は概念では分配だと思うが、現行法では汚職？
