for the new followers, mitaka is the spy is part of my blog. mitaka is the one feeding information to the resistance and ratting out secret first order bases. he's been a double agent the whole time. you see the man questioning the first order's government in the force awaken novelization. it's not too ooc for him to have a change of heart. it doesn't help that he falls in love with a rebel lieutenant and has secret meetings with her.

for everyone who hasn't read phasma captain cardinal ( archex ) was in charge of training the child stormtroopers. he's a soft man who sees those kids as his own. he remembers all their nick names and talents. he scolds, nurtures and teaches them. he's pretty much the official stormtrooper dad.

archex was an orphan who saw the first order as his saviour because they took him off the streets and gave him food and shelter. he was brainwashed. no denying it. but all he saw was a new, better life. he wanted to give that to all the children in his care.

since we're talking about fanon. there is a lot of talk in the fanon about kylo not being part of the first order and not caring about its mission but if you read the novelization you get to see mitaka, kylo and hux's views on how they think the first order should operate in the galaxy. kylo ironically believes in the first order’s mission for galactic control the most.

it seems crazy but if you think about it this way, kylo is the closest to snoke. he is the most loyal to him because snoke brainwashed him. it's not really a surprise that he believes in snoke's goals more than the others.
