"kai if you'd just eat your damn soup while it's still warm—" you're cut off by your pouting boyfriend shaking his head. "it's too warm" he states in almost a while as you sigh heavily , dropping the spoon in defeat. "it'll be good for you to have something warm to eat" you insist , frowning towards him as he shakes his head once again , coughing loudly before whining quietly. you show him the cough syrop with a smile , but to your dismay he shakes his head and hides under the covers.

"baby... you have to eat your soup and drink your medicine if you wanna get any better!" you say setting the bowl down on the night table , looking to the sad bump in the colorful colored covers. you sigh heavily , trotting over to the sad boy and laying down on top of his body , uncovering his face that's flushed thanks to his high fever. "look at you... you're getting worse" you mutter as he looks away , your heart breaking slightly at the sight of his glossy eyes , a sign he's definitely very sick. you sigh petting his hair lightly before pecking his lips , his panicked eyes meeting yours. "are you crazy? i can't get you sick!" kai says before you giggle , cupping his face and pecking his lips several times. "i don't care" you say grinning , lifting yourself off him so you can grab the bowl of soup that's definitely cooler by now.

kai sits up slowly as he watches your movements , pouting when you sit on the side of the bed and put the spoon with your homemade soup towards him. he sighs giving in , swallowing it with a grimace. "ah my throat hurts so much!" kai says as he rubs his throat slightly , furrowing his brows. "it's because of that nasty cough... told you not to eat ice cream during the winter" you scold as he sighs heavily , swallowing another bite of soup. "but soobin hyung always does so without getting a stupid cough and fever" kai pouts , you shaking your head.

"then he probably has a better immune system than you" you answer him , brushing the hair out of his sweaty forehead. by the time that he finishes eating , you get up to quickly wash the spoon and come back to a bent over kai who's slowly dozing off. you smile softly before pouring some cough medicine onto the spoon and walking over to him. "hey... just take your medicine and then you can sleep okay?" you ask softly as the boy nods weakly , raising his head to open his mouth.

you feed him the medication before tucking him in , but when you're about to leave he grabs your wrist and peers up at you with big pleading eyes. no words need to be spoken as you slip under the covers beside him and wrap your arms around him , pressing a soft kiss to his cheek before bringing his face close to your chest. he sighs lightly as his arms cling around you desperately , and the both of you doze off as you run your hands through his hair.
