The party splits off from the tieflings to go to the Underdark. Recounting key parts of Act 1 & 2, then following vignettes of Yuta and Zevlor's relationship as they navigate both mundane living and a new murder plot in Act 3.

St. Sebastian — Astarion, Haarlep, Raphael, Sebastian (various ships)
Astarion makes a strange deal with Raphael to kill Cazador. Raphael kills the vampire lord personally, including all his spawn, except one. Astarion is horrified to learn Raphael has made a contract with Sebastian and has now gifted him to Haarlep. Mephistopheles is annoyed.

MtG Crossover - Raphael takes Astarion to another vampire-filled plane called Ixalan, where vampires are worshiped as protectors blessed by the sun, to try and convince him to sell his soul so he can walk across the planes. One Ixalani vampire has eyes for Astarion, and Raphael becomes possessive.

1 year of jinkookspencil!
hi hi tumblr! it's officially been a year of jinkookspencil and this blog! 1 year of writing and sharing my own bts fanfics! and actually, a little over a year of reading fanfics as well! i'm also getting close to a follower milestone which is insane, it's already more followers than i've had on tumblr during its prime!
it's an absolutely insane, unbelievable thing to say. i truly never thought if i'd make it this far or if i'd keep it up.
i wanted to prepare a fic or a headcanon post for today, to celebrate, but i ended up having an absolutely horrible night, crying for hours and just needing the comfort of reading other fics. i know my writing speed isn't the fastest, but despite everything and all the self-hatred emotions i'm feeling tonight, i will say that i'm at least proud of myself for keeping it up, but also for ever starting in the first place.
as i mentioned in my now one-year-old introductory post, i've always wanted to write fiction and it was so daunting to take the leap into (fan)fiction and every tiny ounce of support means the world. writing these fics has become another helpful outlet for me - i hope my fics helped you in some way and i hope you continue to read/like my work. i know i have a long way to go and improve, and I hope to!
still, the fact that people have read, liked, reblogged, and recommended the things i've written... it truly makes me emotional. i don't know if i would've kept it up if it weren't for the amazing community on here. thank you thank you thank you tumblr, thank you ARMY 💜

Aaaah, thank you so much for these, Blossom! Admittedly, I'm not on my best days, however, these asks did lighten my mood, and it was a joy answering them! 🥰💖
20: Have you noticed any patterns in your fics? Words/expressions that appear a lot, themes, common settings, etc?
Oh yes! As I was revising some chapters of TPATD a while ago, I noticed I used the word 'brim', quite frequently. I guess I like the expressions it can be combined with, e.g. "her eyes brim with tears" or "he fills the jug to the brim" or "the table is brimmed with hearty food". You get the picture! My fic is also brimmed (see what I did there?) with the hurt/comfort theme, which is my absolute favorite theme, and I believe that if I ever write for another fandom, hurt/comfort will be predominant in the respective story too. In almost every chapter, I do have a foreshadowing pattern for those who are willing to read behind the lines—this is also something I love catching in other stories! Hm, what else? Ah! I love descriptive prose in everything I write, and mostly when the descriptions make me feel what is being described, e.g. I like describing Jia when she's working with her alchemy or when she's cooking her food—I want to grab and munch whatever she's eating there...👀

I updated my fic just two days ago (after 4 months of absence...🥲) so I haven't got any WIP to share yet, but! I'm going to put a snippet of the freshly baked chapter 19 instead:
I had never expected the Last Dragonborn to be a female, in all his dread not to be pinned down and discovered shred by shred by her luminous, sun-rivaled gaze, Miraak pretended to sound as scathing and condescending as he could during their first encounter in Apocrypha, when all he could think about was, she came to me at last, the favorite jill of Akatosh. I have read about you, in old-worn books hoarded in Seekers’ hands, piled in endless ever-shifting pillars, sometimes in the feminine shape of a human, others as an elusive firey-crimson specter of a dragon, and Oblivion has heard me humming tunes written and sang in your name. Indeed, your deeds are tremendous, strider of Sovngarde, deicide of Alduin.
But your soul’s sorrow is bigger.
Miraak feels himself shrinking at his thoughts. Her very breath humbles him.
58: What part of the writing process do you enjoy the most? (Brainstorming, outlining, writing, editing, etc).
Translating! I love this feeling when I know a part of my draft is finished in my native language, and now I have to translate it into English, build it, make it wholesome, perfect it, before proceeding on to the next. I know it sounds like a lot of work, but it isn't so much, not really. I've heard contrastive opinions on whether translating is really helpful or not, but it works for me. 😊 Another part of the writing process I enjoy is reading my lines out loud and acting them on the respective character's voice—actually, I have brainstormed major plot points and ideas while acting out my characters, and I guess this is my ultimate sign that I must become an actor one day. 😂

the olgimsky men in pathologic. i've managed to avoid writing them for most of my like...three? year stay in the fandom. for me, it's necessary to have some amount of sympathy for a character i'm going to write, and a lot of the time i can find something to sympathise with characters on regardless of how batshit they are. i can find them...interesting? at least? some sort of thread that connects me to what they're thinking or feeling. but not them. i just don't give a shit about either of them and i never have.

well we had fox's music on shuffle while we were rearranging, and i think it was playing freak on a leash by korn before we switched it to a video on how to tie a tie. but the last song we listened to in the car was birdhouse in your soul by they might be giants :)
🫐 some place you’d love to visit
i don't have any specific place in mind, just germany. i know i should do some research on it, like where to go and whatnot... but i worry it would make my barely contained drive to travel even worse :') i have lots of dreams about travelling, but since i'm trying to learn german on my own i'd really like to travel to a place where i could at least theoretically use it!

okay so like
🌱 ganieda 🌱 is literally the grossest fucking plant like kind of interlinking with how i think that sylvari honestly do have some inherent poison resistance due to plants, and the whole golden liquid gut thing going on, so she definitely tests it on everything. i know the commander eats anything in canon for those points but ganieda cranks it up to eleven. like probably an outlier even amongst sylvari. i dont rly see her as my canon commander bc its fun playing barbie dolls with her (and myrnah) and just having gan walk around and her having gross lil priory girlie moments wherever. i cant write anything serious for her because all she does is lust over myrnah, argue about history, and lick rocks. not always in that order.
🦇 llonie 🦇 is an oc i always come back to she never rly changes like she's always existed as she is and i think one of my fave things about her is that she rly was randomly generated with me mashing the randomise button and like esp being thrown in with the greymoor dlc opening it just kinda clicked? like also i love how eso rly is like yeah ok u can do whatever u want like ur a dunmer but like. get OUTTA vvardenfell we dont want you which is the funniest reaction. reminds me of morrowind. but yeah. the lil blood sucking, super soul charged, divorced, daedric loving weirdo is MY weirdo.
🚀 catiel 🚀 is like. okay i LOVE how like the bounty hunter's story is there? like i know a lot of the stories overlap and the timeframe is worked out by people but the bh is so fucking funny in being the random group who gets in some sweet revenge, participates in a bloody competition and may or may not become the mando's adoptive killing machine (honourary child), may become part of a royal alderaanian family, shows up right at the end, kills both sith and jedi, and then is like. okay bye we're gonna go fishing. and also like i know that the ages are all vague and stuff but with the older voice and the implied experience behind dialogue options its like. i love how the bh can be like. older. so naturally i made catiel a milf. she's in her 50s by the time kotfe rolls around. i definitely channelled a lil of desperate housewives into her, so we love to see a cougar winning.

First off, sorry for letting this sit in my ask box all week! College starting back up has pretty much destroyed my blogging mojo, unfortunately, but I hope to get back at it sooner than later, once a bit of routine is established.
Rather than overanalyzing this to death I'll just go with Jaina Syndulla, Jacen's twin. She's an old soul in a young, more-Twi'lek-than-human body. She learns to knit at five years old and wears ancient, doily-looking sweaters growing up. But she's also lively and inseparable from her friends. She grows up to write historical romance novels under the pen name Jak Terulla, which she tells no one save her historical information providers/co-writers, Ahsoka and Kanan (Jak is an acronym). (Seriously, even Hera has no idea; the eventual reveal is the stuff of legends). She's single into her 30s but she adopts a little boy and then eventually she falls in love with another hopelessly single 30yo and they are the CUTEST he fangirls over her books and takes her to bookstores, and have two little girls and anyway they are some of my (many) favorites.

OKAY SO for people who can’t read JP, he’s basically saying “Beautiful lady, let me forever be your ‘servant of love’.” (Yes I have this essentially memorized fthffhgvhgfghfghfhgfghhgfg) AND THIS JUST;;; KILLS ME;;;;; EVERY TIME. CONSTANTLY. ALWAYS. I JUST CAN’T.
The first time I saw this, I had no context, it was just Rook Hunt in a tuxedo saying he wanted to be with me forever. It absolutely KILLED me when I read the translation, and even before I did I was still bright red because I could partly understand him. In the story you later find out he’s practicing a proposal to the a Ghost Bride but just… dear stars I was still red as a strawberry when I ran into it a second time, and in real life I don’t blush easy. But HECK… this was just so!!!!! PASSIONATE;;;;;; It’s so beautiful, it’s just a dream!!!!!
The expression, the language- all of it just;;;;; perfect. It’s so wonderful, I’m melting just reading it again, I think I’v scrolled up just to stare at it like six times while writing this. I will never, ever be over this line. Rook you’re under arrest for perfectly proposing to me, I’m taking ten kisses as compensation.

I think @citrinexdreams is amazing and everyone should love Kay’s Ling. I’m bias though, I admit that.
@valiant-noble-soul is my forever brother, and I really wish people would write with Al as much as they write with Ed.

🖊️ - What does your muses handwriting look like?
Like absolute hell. I talked about it here before. But he’s right hand dominate but holding a pen with his automail is next to impossible. He’ll press too hard and snap the pen. Ink all over the paper so that work is lost. He spent a long time trying to re-learn how to write with his left hand and it’s not great looking now.
His hand shakes when he writes and the faster he writes the worst it shakes. He’s been known to drag his hand when he writes and since writing left handed is pushing the pen across the page (VS right handed, dragging then pen with the ink trailing behind) when he drags his hand, it drags through his writing and smudges the ink.
He’s gotten into fights with Mustang about it more than once. He’s watched more than one report be sat aflame in anger.
His letters are too big, unevenly spaced, everything is shaky, sometimes the pen’s ink skips and misses letter entirely so he has to go rewrite them- it’s just a mess. It’s not horrible, if he actually slows down and takes his time but he next to never does that.
