“Where do we go from here?” for daniel the candymaniel's dbd verse perhaps? <3

Standing stock still, lurking here in the shadows where the Campfire's light falls short; it's not a foreign situation. Even before this endless, fruitless cycle of meaningless drivel, Daniel spent most of his afterlife relegated to the unseen. Half of him stuck on one side of a two-way mirror until someone pulled him fully to the other side once more. While he still has to wait here, it's not for nearly so long- a grisly schedule of sorts allotted for him, repetitive and ultimately unchanging.

There are connotations, similarities to this servitude which make his swarm buzz with fury.

"An uncertain crossroad has paths of potentially infinite directions. Or only the one."

The being which permeates the darkness beside him is a welcome change. Someone which seems to look at the arachnid manifestations with the same disdain as he, its minute expressions souring without fail. One of the few things in this realm that seems to still have its grasp on common sense.

Half turning, half tilting his head just enough to look at the Priest, Daniel adds, "there are only a handful of ways to find out. None of which will be simple."
