From tomorrow until the following Monday I'll engage into the suffering of finals at long last. I'm nervous and I feel like I know nothing, but I'm aware that the nervousness is bigger than what the tests will be, so crossing my fingers that it'll be the same thing this time too—

good way too early morning (8:30 am fuck me) and i would just like to say. i think it’d be fun if melkor/morgoth/stop having names didn’t feel any real attachment to the stuff he creates? i think his love for his creations only extends as far as “i made them and i think they’re cool”. he doesn’t ever really get to the “they are like children to me” because his stupid vala brain can’t comprehend what Kids or Fatherhood is. so carcharoth? cool funky werewolf he made. he was proud of him until he got his ass kicked by huan. Glaurung? he had a great time trying to figure out how to properly dragon a lizard and it was a good attempt. Ancalagon was the closest he ever got to feeling real Fatherly Pride but Ancalagon fucking DIED so in the end he was still a massive failure. detached Creator melkor is just such a vibe to me idk why

and honestly i think this carries over to “romance” too because he doesn’t know what love actually means (omg just like me fr), he just knows “ugh this person is making me feel things clearly it’s a manipulation attempt. time to destroy everything they’ve ever loved and turn them into a shell of their former selves and then wonder where we went wrong.” nobody said the dark lord was smart but we love him either way
