hi, im back yet again after days 💀 to be fair, i was supposed to greet you all a pleasant lunar new year BUT here’s the tea:

morning of lunar new year i was craving for pancakes and i have this small pure canadian maple syrup that my friend gave and i wanted to try it but ha ha i didnt know i am allergic to maple syrup so YUP i had a REALLY bad allergic attack (my whole face was swelling, it felt numb, and i couldnt breathe) so i was rushed to the ER. im all good now, nothing to worry. in short, i had to skip a day’s worth of work and rest. when i went back to the office, i had to catch up on the workload and haven’t had the time to spill the tea here on tumblr.

anyway, i’m back!!

I couldn't write All the Birds in the Sky from scratch now if I tried. But the me of 2013 couldn't have written The Prodigal Mother either.

i have a little tmi today lmao just thought it was funny and wanted to share

anyway! here it is

so, the other day at the office my department’s shift lead randomly got up to her feet, scanned the room with her eyes to look for me, and went

“pea, do you have a boyfriend?” —no issues here lol everyone’s friendly in the office but some employees were surprised cos apparently the shift lead is ‘pestering the new hire wayyy too early’ lol— to which i replied “never (had a boyfriend)”

then after the said commotion, this girl who sat next to me during the shift was kinda like moving about in her seat (i could tell by my peripheral view) and finally she rolled her chair next to me and whispered,

“do you watch anime?”

i was kinda taken aback by her out of the blue question CAUSE. GUYS. prior to this me and this girl HAVE NEVER talked about anything outside of work tho ive always wanted to befriend her.

i nodded to her qs and said yes and she proceeded to ask,

“do you watch jjk?”

AND HOLYYYY CRAAAAAP THATS WHEN WE BOTH LOST IT!! SHES A SIMP!! it was so funny cos she looked so serious at work BUT THEN SHE LOSES COMPOSURE BY THE NAME OF GETOU LMAOOOOO

then she told me, “i knew it! i knew youd be the type to like 2d men.” lololol

and i go “???” “how?” istg i was thinking to myself ‘am i that obvious????’ cos im pretty sure i was trying to be NORMAL like dudes i even went out to drink with colleagues I TOUCHED GRASS

but then she goes, “cos we’re 24 and single and you never had a boyfriend. it only means that you’re interested in men BUT 2d men. almost everyone in our age group (and in the office) is taken or dating so you have to be into anime boys.”

i swear i couldnt hold myself back and bursted out loud. she described me perfectly.

so yeah we have a little secret in the office. were both fucking nerds. AND she reads fanfics and i write them so were 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼
