The most impactful regarding art someone once told me as a child "if you get board of adding to one area of your artwork, then move on to something else. It's your art, and there is no right or wrong way to do it." I usually repeat this to myself every time I feel myself getting carried away in one are of an art piece and start driving myself nuts, or I get criticle of myself about anything. This journal is something I started where I've not allowed myself to be criticle of anything I put into it. I also allow myself to go in and edit and alter any page. This has been a really good practice for me to loosen up the way I draw/paint/art. It's helped me so much to just start feeling creative again after a block. What I've learned only recently for some reason: Be nice to yourself, in everything that you do. Everyone is weird, and different and there's so many ways to be alive. I like to take some photos of the pours while the paint is still wet on the canvas. The colors are always super vivid before they move around and get more mixed in.
