A shit ton has happened since my last active months on Tumbler.

(Skip to * for what should be the #1 place of happenings but isnt because Im too lazy to copy and paste it and switch up the numbers so that it is. But, not lazy enough to not write out this drawn out detour 🤔)

For starters:

1. Ive started swearing... a lot. Not proud of it. But Im pissed off at humans.

2. I bought a sailboat, thought it would "make me happy" or something. And though I do feel at such peace and cant help to smile and sigh in relief everytime Im in my boat, listening to the tranquil and delicate splish splash of the water on her belly and feeling the warm sun kissing my cheek. I haven't got to be in it as much as I want. And as a result its now more of a worry than a resort getaway.

* 3. I adopted a puppy, another "Get Happy Quick" scheme, see what I did there? 😌 But this time, at least it worked. They say all the money in the world cant buy happiness, and it cant, I know, Ive tried. But fifteen hundred bucks bought me my smile back, my sense of importance, my warmth and sense of fun back. For that money I bought happiness. And I think that is the only exception to the rule, money cant buy happiness, unless its used to buy a dog.

4. I dont know, just thought there should be a fourth number...

Hey nobody at all, I doubt anyone is listening to a random guy on the internet talking about the same going ons and troubles as everyone else has, but alas, I am here. Perhaps this is my therapy, talking to a black wall... I thought I'd say this, to humor the thought of maybe there being one person out there listening: what once was a blog about my plants (my other therapy), is now a blog about my plants. AND my life. As Ive obviously got much to talk about and cant get it out in real life to anyone interested, I might as well spill it here. So, from now on, this is Tristan, plants and problems. Or perhaps lets go for something not so grim? Plants and Goings-on. I love you all, whoever you are. Thanks for reading the first sentance 😁

I dont know if you feel it too, but doesn't it seem like everything is so much clearer after you cry? All your problems present their causes to you in perfect clarity when you cry. Deep, ugly, painful sobbing, unable to breath crying, and suddenly, as if in a hypnotic state, a daze of consciousness or like you've slipped into a serene and dark meditation; it all falls into place. Like you're on the outside looking down at it all and rearranging the puzzle pieces that some twerp fucked up and tossed off the table. You're cleaning up the mess. The game that is your messed up life suddenly becomes... well... easy. For a split second after losing yourself in agony, as if pain was the shears which cut the veil of your own dillusion; everything is clear. And now, after so much suffering, for the next 10 minutes or so, life is easy.

Me - Unless you are hurting someone, be yourself and do as you wish. This is your life. They need no salvation, they need acceptance.

Me - True, the world is reaching disasters like never before. People will suffer famine, drown with ice melts and tsunamis, suffocate in smog, die of disease, break through the earth as it quakes, and all because of the affects of human cruelty fed by human greed for wealth and power, superiority and attention. People leached off the earth for millenia, hunting species into exctinction for sport and coin, burning and chopping down forests for their mansions and cities of concrete, invading the habitats of millions of delicate ecosystems. These people are not only inherently valuable as living emotional beings and practicing their right to freedom, expression and existentialism BUT they are also some of the ONLY HUMANS that are fighting against this human selfishness that is devastating the earth on which we live. People living in the trees, making music, hugging chickens, making love, spreading smiles, acceptance and fighting for equality and against cruelty are our LAST chance to make a difference in this dying world. The selfish consumers in their plastic office chairs with their fat leather wallets are the ones that need to wake up and be useful in the fight against our extinction and that of life on earth. Does your god really want you murdering his beautiful creations? And as for usefulness and education? These freedom fighters are teaching our obese civilization (again a selfish karma) the practice of yoga, organic nutrition, conservation efforts, habitat reconstruction, animal rescue, carbon sequestration in soil, botony, international development of the communities we rich stole from, recycling, composting, sustainable agriculture and resources AND millions of them are university graduates, businessmen and women, politicians, professors, well diggers and school builders in north Africa. Is your god giving the poor fresh water? I believe not. Especially since the idea that your god invented all that exists on earth entails that he too, created marijuana, psychedelic mushrooms, and cocaina plant. Explain. Because all I'm seeing from you is uneducated discrimination, elitism, ignorance and selfishness.

Me - And if I had a choice between sending Indian children into deadly micca mines to produce makeup, buying tshirts from slave labourers in cambodia, firing a spray of bullets into the chest of a black rhinocerus or getting high, Id rather get high. Its a lot better to rethink your life and learn to love without bias with the help of mind altering substances than to continue cutting into the bloodied flesh of our precious mother earth.
