The video of the second shrew that Weetabix brought into the house. My voice sounds so awful on this but pretty funny how scared I was. 

So another cat update. Little shit Weetabix has brought me two shrews in the last week. One dead completely with puncture marks (one above) and one half alive which I will post as a video after this. I have only recently started to let her out for periods of the day with my supervision. She first started bringing me twigs and leaves and I could quite happily deal with this intact I thought it was terribly cute. However she has upped her game and is getting rather cocky. I have never been so scared in my life. I totally had panic attacks when both events happened. 

So this is a major life choice for me that I have been considering for a little while. I have had a brilliant vegan journey so far trying new adapted dishes. A part of me has even felt a little healthier for trying. Obviously it maybe extra difficult for me with me being strictly gluten free as well but I have actually found it not too difficult. I started off with still eating dairy products but cutting out meat and swapping it for tofu. This is was really enjoyable. Then i switched cows milk to soy milk which I really didn’t mind doing. Then I went to chocolate and cheese (some of my favourites) but I have already found better alternatives for this. I even enjoyed a vegan spaghetti bolognese made with soya protein mince which blew me away. The journey is going well and each day I cut out more ingredients. I am even trying a full vegan week at the minute. I am really proud of this and hope it is something I can continue with.

Just a few little updated pictures from my cats.

So this was sent to me recently. It is me and Artis Royal when we practically first got him. He was so tiny and adorable. Still has a heart of gold but he is so chunky now. 

Diary Cat Number - 41 and 42. Diary Cat Name - William and Charles. Real Name - Jeremy and Jeffrey.

Location - Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary, Edenfield. Character - playful, crazy, energetic and affectionate.

Likes - Rolling around with one another, playing and showing off. Dislikes - I didn’t even see anything these two didn’t like such a happy bunch.

Favourite place to be petted - Didn’t get the opportunity but they kept wiping along the plastic cover as if they wanted a cuddle. Other - Just two ginger kittens safely delivered by one of the other cats at the sanctuary. When I first saw these terrible twosome they were throwing themselves at each other and at the walls. They seemed so excitable and happy. They clearly had a close bond as brothers. They were adorable and rarely stopped for two minutes. The sweet thing is they have both been adopted.

Location - Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary, Edenfield. Character - Sleepy, lonely and snuggly.

Likes - teddybear, warm places and kisses. Dislikes - Loud noises, injections and being alone.

Favourite place to be petted - Didn’t get chance. Other - This little tabby kitten looked so sweet and all alone. I don’t know whether her brother and sisters had been adopted or whether she was found without any other kitten/cat. A little ball of fluff looking at you with sad eyes. In her bed lay a scrunched up teddybear I imagine she cuddles at sleepy time. 

Diary Cat Number - 39 Diary Cat Name - Nipper Real Name - Tiger-Tom

Location - Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary,  Edenfield. Character - playful, cheeky, bold, energetic and mischievous. 

Likes - nibbling fingers, playing and hide and seek. Dislikes - Loud children, small spaces and sitting still.

Favourite place to be petted - mouth. Other - This little cutie was again still up for adoption. He had such a cute personality. I started playing with him with a leaf I found on the floor anyway something happened with that and I just started to put my finger in but he’d just lightly nibble it and give you it back. He seemed so friendly and would be suited to someone who could keep up with his cheeky behaviours. 

Diary Cat Number - 38 Diary Cat Name - Kruger Real Name - Yergan

Location - Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary, Edenfield. Character - playful, boisterous, protective and shy.

Likes - leaves, keeping himself entertained and being alone. Dislikes - other cats, screaming children and being cooped up in a den.

Favourite place to be petted - Cheeks. Other - I recently visited the local animal rescue centre. I am a trained dog walker there and volunteer there. On this occasion we were just having a little visit. I took pictures of the cats that impressed me most. Yergan here had the chubbiest cheeks and clearly happy to fend for himself. He felt threatened by other cats. He loved being on his back whilst your finger tickled his huge cheeks. Yergan seemed pleased to see people.

Diary Cat Number - 37 Diary Cat Name - Jezzabell Real Name - unknown

Location - Peel Brow, Ramsbottom. Character - scruffy, welcoming, appreciative and lazy.

Likes - rolling over when being stroked, sunshine and gardens. Dislikes - Rain, dogs and anything that makes her move more than she wants.

Favourite place to be petted - Head. Other - This cat has been living up by my nan’s for a long time. I always see it sat on the floor just outside its door in the sunshine. Jezzabell won’t move for much unless you are willing to watch her roll around as you tickle her head. Jezzabell has really long fur and tidying it over the years has become a bit much for her so she tends not to clean as much anymore. Jezzabell loves where she lives and likes to watch the world go by through the gate.

Location - Summerseat. Character - posh, prim, shy, judgemental, dismissive and hesitant.

Likes - Sofa arms, mirrors and her owner.  Dislikes - Everyone else, wind and getting her paws dirty.

Favourite place to be petted - Lightly between the ears.  Other - I have only ever met this cat twice despite it living just up the road from me. The first time I saw Pearl was when I was looking through windows on my way home one night from work. I noticed Pearl perched on top of what looked like an antique armchair. Her eyes focused on the outside with not much movement. Her owner lightly petting her. She looked beautiful but for obvious reasons I couldn't capture her this time. I recently found her sat outside her door. I gave her a little call and went to her level. Her head moved and her eyes intently focused on mine. I knew she wasn’t going to come anywhere near me so I said goodbye.

Location - Liverpool Character - playful, attention seeking and snuggly.

Likes - bins, spiders and necks. Dislikes - men except dad, hoover and bottles.

Favourite place to be petted - Tummy. Other - This fluffy female puddycat belongs to my best friend in Liverpool. Belle considers herself as a bit of a princess and loves to stretch her paws out as far as she can put them. Belle especially loves chasing spiders across the floor. All the time I was around my friend’s house she spent time cuddling up to my neck. Belle especially loves her dad owner and favours him over anyone else. 

Diary Cat Number - 34 Diary Cat Name - Crunch. Real Name - unknown 

Location - Stubbins Mill whilst on a run. Character - Athletic, determined and hard working.

Likes - running, fields and mice. Dislikes - Slow people, cars and sheep.

Favourite place to be petted - Ear Other - I met crunch whilst I was running in 2015. I stopped for a rest and he appeared out the field. Crunch stopped around for a little scratch on the ear. Then I set off running and he came running just ahead of me. He stopped off at a nearby field where he caught sight of a field mouse. He went to run after the mouse when a sheep came running towards us and Crunch freaked out and ran away.

Diary Cat Number - 33. Diary Cat Name - Harvey. Real Name - Yes.

Location - Cat Cafe Manchester, Northern quarter. Character - Hungry, loving, laid back and warm.

Likes - cuddles, food and nibbles. Dislikes - Being too playful, too much exercise and horrible people.

Favourite place to be petted - Everywhere. Other - Again one of the originals at the cat cafe. Harvey tends to pick a person there at the time to stay with. He is very loyal and offers cuddles to that special person. I haven’t had that much of an interaction with Harvey but I admire his calming demeanour. Really fluffy and well groomed. General traits of a rag doll. Harvey is always were food is. He is always hungry and may even carefully nibble your fingers.

Location - Cat Cafe Manchester, Northern quarter. Character - Loyal, playful and boisterous, 

Likes - Toy mice, kisses and cuddles and the green play tent. Dislikes - Interfering with other cats at the cafe.

Favourite place to be petted - Head and ears. Other - I met handsome Joel on my second visit to the cafe. He played all the time I was there and then went for a snooze just before I left. He is a loyal character and will spend hours playing. Joel loves bringing a toy mouse to you for him to chuck. He does enjoy attention when all sleepy. Joel is a gorgeous cat and very beautiful to look at. 

Diary Cat Number - 31 Diary Cat Name - Gemma. Real Name - Yes.

Location - Cat Cafe Manchester, Northern Quarter. Character - Stressed, annoyed, grumpy, stubborn and anxious.

Likes - Being around humans she knows, clawing others and staring out of windows. Dislikes - Being told no, other cats and life in general at the cat cafe.

Favourite place to be petted - Didn’t get chance. Other - When I first went to the cat cafe I saw Gemma being taken into another room kicking off as she went. A loud meow and a glossy coat. Gemma didn’t stay at the cat cafe long the owner ended up taking the Russian Blue home. Gemma swiped at children and didn't really take to the cat environment and she was stressed. Gemma wouldn’t eat out of nerves whilst at the cafe and would throw it up. I remember her being quite playful and seemed more stressed than the other cats at the cafe.

Diary Cat Number - 29 and 30. Diary Cat Name - Far back is Korie and close up is Kayla. Real Name - unknown

Location - Madeira outside the apartment we were staying in. Character - Friendly, starved and helpless.

Likes - Meat, attention and friendly talkative people. Dislikes - Nasty people, other cat gangs and cockroaches.

Favourite place to be petted - head for them both. Other - I met these two strays whilst on holiday in Madeira. This cute gang were a family just in the shredded trees across from the apartment. They lived among cockroaches which weren't pleasant to eat or attack. They looked famished and not well treated. Towards the end of the holiday I treated the family to some cat food. They were made up.

Location - Ramsbottom at Stuarts. Character - clumsy, mischievous, boisterous, playful and loud.

Likes - Laser mouse, weeing in plastic bags and other cats. Dislikes - Sudden loud bangs/movements, cheese and 

Favourite place to be petted - Tummy. Other - Artis was my second cat that I lost custody of when I split from my last relationship. He was a cute adorable thing. Fat as anything but tiny head. He fails to meow and cannot jump because of his weight. He steals food and gobbles food up as soon as its served. He loves to play in boxes and with just about anything. He spends a lot of the day sleeping curled up into his own feet snoring. He used to be in love with my Weetabix either that he looked up to her as a mother. He was heartbroken when we had to go. He now has Puddined who is completely different to Weetabix. She will play tig with him from time to time but thats it. Artis loves to be mauled and kissed. He enjoys curling under the covers or in the snag of your neck. He also plays fetch with a certain foam ball. He also has a cute moustache.
