Just my own artwork in an actual art exhibition 🤩🤩 I got to see Oysters, Akoya IRL tonight for the G+B Exhibition. It’s here for 3 weeks, for sale, and up for the people’s choice award so you should vote. For me, specifically. Or buy it, I’m also fine with that!
Haven’t seen the rest of the artworks? That’s okay, just vote for me, Stoney, and my artwork Oysters, Akoya.

☎️Phone cases!📱
the company I get half of my printing through has started offering phone cases, and I am obsessed with seeing my own art on a phone. These are some quick mockups of pieces I think would look great... But honestly, I'll print any of my pieces on a phone case if someone wants it.
So I'm currently thinking about a limited run of phone case orders of any of my art pieces. Comment below or yell at me across the street if this is something you would be interested in!
✨ You can buy this art on other stuff on my website✨

May has been hectic! Private commissions plus organising an entire cafe exhibition at @thesandalwoodshop on the way into Albany.
You can browse my work, read a little bit about my process and enjoy a delicious meal or hot beverage from the cafe while you peruse. They'll be displayed until August 2022.
Every piece is for sale, however I'd suggest not waiting too long because they have already started selling!
✨You can also hit up my website at any time to buy my art in a range of formats and sizes ✨

🌻 Sunflower Curse 🌻
I said I would donate $$ to a charity assisting in the Ukraine if I sold any prints of Sunflower Curse, and I did. SafeBow (SafeBow.org) is helping at-risk people escape war-torn Ukraine - LGBT, BIPOC, elderly, children, and disabled people. This A2 print of Sunflower Curse hanging at Looped Cafe is still for sale and will also result in donations to SafeBow if someone buys it, as will any purchases of said print from my website.
🌻 Buy Sunflower Curse here🌻 Donate directly to SafeBow here 🌻

This feels like some sort of achievement. Seeing my art on a real wall gives me all sorts of warm fuzzies.
It’s all up at @loopedcafe so you should pop in for a delicious hot beverage and buy a print.

✨Positive Vibes ✌🏻✨
My partner made this comment about being blessed with a positive RAT test so he could have a week off work and I immediately envisioned it as a faux motivational (fauxtivational?) toxic positivity meme.
Will I put this in my shop? I dunno, maybe. Comment on this post if you think you would buy it!
All my other prints always available in my shop:

I was honoured to be able to do this custom illustration of my friend and her niece, whom she hasn't even met yet, as a secret birthday surprise from her sister over in Ireland. I had to work some Disney magic on this one to be able to create the connection between niece and aunty (from 5 different reference images!) I really enjoyed the challenge, and the resulting happy tears it created.
You too can make someone cry with my art. Hit up my shop to check out my work and put your order in!

🌿 PLANT OF THE MONTH 🌿
🌿 The humble Pothos 🌿
Understated houseplant staple since the first pandemic lockdown and beyond. Unkillable climbing vine that adds just the right amount of cottagecore, witch-hut-in-the-woods vibe to any room. Also poisonous to cats; so if your unruly housemates can't keep their teeth off your indoor forest, maybe buy this print instead.
I grouched the whole time about the number of leaves - and variegations - I chose to include in this illustration, but oh my goodness, isn't she gorgeous! Worth it. This print goes up to A2 size so you can really get to see all the little leaves and details I have included. It is up in my shop for you to hang on your walls right now! Right now!
Framing prints is so last year. Treat yoself to a canvas print of my plants instead. Become the plant-print-obsessed artistic curator you were destined to become.

Square has added Afterpay to my website for freesies. So if you have been aching over my art (prints or commissions) and don't have all the funds at once but like, really, really want to buy art, then you can use Afterpay when you shop through my site!
I am not condoning going into debt for the purposes of buying art. If breaking payments down into chunks is not a responsible thing for you to be doing, don't.

This is why I’m not on Etsy
When researching the various online seller platforms to start selling my work I heard this discussion surrounding Etsy and their fee structure. Their blatant disregard for their users and the vague pricing structure ultimately turned me off attempting to use their site.
Buyers and sellers alike are boycotting the site from the 11th - 18th of April to protest the 30% fee hike (despite making record profits during the pandemic) and this petition has launched to get their attention. So you should sign it. Don’t let late stage capitalism destroy the creative market.

Stones. Gender Outlaw, 2022. Digital Illustration.
March 31st, A.K.A Trans Day of Visibility, exists so that people have no choice but to acknowledge the existence of Trans and Gender Diverse people. Despite the bare minimum of representation, role models, and community, we exist. Despite the scaremongering, media spin, politicising and simultaneous dismissing of our identities, we exist. We take up space. Powerfully. Truthfully. My existence as a gender diverse individual is but a drop of visibility attempting to fill the void of representation I saw (or rather, didn't) as a child. Not in ancient history, Not even a century ago, but in the 90's. Visibility creates representation, that creates connections with others; others that might not fit the arbitrary social gender constructs we are in the process of breaking down. Knowing that gender diversity is even an option, and that you are not alone, and that you are perfectly imperfect just the way you are, is HUGE for positive mental health outcomes and keeping trans and gender diverse people alive.
The image I'm posting with this is one of my own; my own portrait torn apart and overlaid with sentences pulled from the online media used to describe trans and gender diverse people. This isn't all of them, just some of my personal favourites. These came from everywhere. Politicians. Celebrities. Academics. I did not have to dig very deep. This ongoing, multi-faceted attack on trans and gender diverse people doesn't stop with Big Media but within our own personal social circles. Misgendering, micro-aggressions, outright dismissal of our identities; every single moment, no matter how small, tears pieces off trans and gender diverse people and it Wears. Us. Down.
I'm not going to tell you how to be a better ally this year. The internet exists. You should already know, AND be actively participating in the protection and support of your trans and gender diverse friends. If you aren't, well, don't be surprised if you can hear the wind whistling through the gaps in your social circle.
Performatory actions you can take right now
to feel like you are making a difference, without having to get off your phone:
🔸 Unfollow and stop supporting transphobic personalities
(like the creator of Harry Potter and it's franchise)
🔸 Donate to a Queer Charity:
Black Rainbow Australia
Transfolk of WA
🔸 Buy from Queer Businesses & Creators

Prints on Canvas
(bc we fancy)
Tumblr media
Canvas prints are now available in my shop as a printing option on some art pieces and trust me, they are gorgeous. I ordered this one as a test and also as a gift and I'm stoked with the quality. They are a bit pricier then printing on paper, however they are comparable to framing and they are fancy as ✨ heck ✨
If you ever see a piece of my art that you would like printed but can't seem to find it as an option on my site, hit me up! I can make it available for purchase. I also hoard good suggestions for things to draw, so if you ever give me a good idea for an art piece, I might draw it one day!

ko-fi update
In 2021/22 I used the ko-fi platform to help kickstart and introduce myself to the concept of online art sales! I have since graduated to a website where you can purchase any of my work or order custom commissions!
Creating a website means that I can consolidate selling prints and commissions into a single place, and it integrates with my IRL sales platform. This means that I will be ceasing my ko-fi gold subscription when it ends in May 2022 to be able to focus my efforts on my website. I appreciate the ko-fi platform and what it has taught me about online art sales, so if you see this and you want to continue supporting me you can go to my site and use the discount code BUYMEAKOFI at checkout to get 5% off any of my art prints! There are a few up there that you won't have seen on ko-fi or here on my blog, so it's worth a browse!

I have a website!
Tumblr media
I have migrated all my work to a website, and set up an online store where you can buy prints and order commissions all in one place! I’ll also be utilising this tumblr page more, as a place to blog about my life and important updates about my art, like upcoming exhibitions or website updates.

I went “fishing” today
And by fishing I mean I sat on the water’s edge while other people fished and I sketched things that went by. Pelicans, boats, and the fam’s doggo, Sam
