I was having problems with the shipping profiles overcharging on Big Cartel but I've sorted it out now! Unfortunately I deleted the tracked shipping upgrade because I didn't think I would need it anymore, but if you would like tracked shipping DM me and I can sort something out!

so it looks like there isn't actually a way to use shipping profiles to group items by parcel size without charging two lots of postage, so it looks like i'll be going back to manually inputting postage on each item lol
I'm not sure if it's just because I've set the shipping profiles up wrong on Big Cartel, but for some reason they're charging two separate lots of postage instead of combining them/charging the larger amount
I don't know why it's doing this 😭 the whole reason I set up the profiles was so I could offer a lower price for flat items like stickers and prints but it looks like I might just have to change it back to how it was
I'm looking into it now, but if you have placed an order I'll refund the extra postage amount because you've definitely been overcharged for it without my knowledge. Sorry about that!
#unfortunately means i won't be able to charge a smaller amount for flat items like i was hoping#-the only way to do that I think would be let the customer choose the correct amount at checkout#which would not be a good idea#so. thanks for the useless feature big cartel lmao

Late posting this but thank you to everyone who ordered recently! I'm still looking into what compression stuff would be best for me but I have a small amount set aside now for trying some stuff out!
It's looking likely that I will end up closing my Big Cartel store soon, at least for the time being. I'm not really physically or mentally able to dedicate the time I would need to it at the moment so I'm just essentially paying for it every month and getting no orders.
I'm going to try and overhaul the listings and promote it one last time for this month though, so stay tuned ✌️

Just wanted to say that any orders from my shops are extra appreciated rn, because my Etsy sales have suddenly dropped to zero in the last couple of weeks, and my I get so few orders from my Big Cartel I've been considering closing it down :')
I'm looking into buying some compression sleeves to help with my hypermobility but it gets pricey fast when you have to buy like, six separate items for my major joints, so current sales are going towards that
#I'm trying to improve my Etsy listings for better visibility#but it's very time consuming and I can't sit and use my laptop or take notes for very long before my neck starts to hurt#rip my connective tissues lol#so i'm unlikely to be able to improve it significantly for quite a few weeks
