Here are some pictures from Sounio! The first four are the Temple of Poseidon and the Aegean Sea, but the fourth picture was taken on a path up to the temple overlooking the settlement there (hence the foundation stones). The site was gorgeous at sunset

I think…and this could be a horrible idea, but I think I might try to find pictures from AC Odyssey that show the things I have pictures of and compare them 🤔 I’ve seen the Acropolis, Delphi, Sounio, Aegina, Eleusis, Kerameikos, the Ancient Agora, the Roman Agora (which would not be in the game), Plato’s Academy (also not in the game), Aristotle’s Lyceum (also not really there), Laurio, and the north and south slopes of the Acropolis. I am also going to see Mycenae, Nauplio, Epidauros, and Corinth at the end of the semester. Lots of content to consider here 🤔

Here some pictures from my adventures in Greece! I’ll limit it to one location at a time, so let’s start with the obvious—the Acropolis! The first two are from the new Acropolis museum and they are the excavation site of the ancient city and the Caryatids (minus the one the British Museum has). The next picture is a view from the Areopagus hill. The last two are from the Acropolis itself, and they are the Erechtheion and the Parthenon.

Would anyone be interested in seeing some pictures from around Attica (+Delphi)? I have one trip planned out of Attica right before I leave but otherwise, I’ve stayed in the region (due to time—I would’ve loved to see the Peloponnese if I could have but that’ll be for next time)

Hi guys! It’s been a minute since I’ve been on here, but I thought I’d share an update! I’ve been busy with courses mostly, but I’m currently 3 months into my study abroad here in Athens, Greece! I cannot wait to play AC Odyssey again having seen these places in person, it’s going to be amazing. I hope you all are very well!

My ardent attachment to two fictional characters and its consequences have carried me safely across the foul cesspool called 2020 and I can only hope they will prevent me from sinking too far down into the reeking depths of 2021. Despite being undermanned, this ship seems sturdy enough to weather any shitstorm and as her self-proclaimed captain I shall do my utmost to keep her afloat, even though the voyage ahead bodes much greater challenge.
Ridiculousness aside, to any crewmate who has ever reacted to my content from this series - especially left a few words underneath or reblogged it - thanks for making me smile. Most of those caps required heaps of time and patience, but I still love making them. And of course, the dust removal and customization mods and camera tools were a true blessing. Cheers to @spartan-officer-brasidas 🍺 ! And @geriwyn - you already know ❤️
If anyone would like to read a story, several complete fanfics already exist (locked away in captain’s quarters).

Yo let us know your thoughts once you finish Valhalla because personally I *hated* this game! Like by far the worst AC game for so many reasons I can’t even begin to list them all. It feels like such a step back from Odyssey but also still nothing like older games? The ending is ridiculous and Ubisoft needs to stop trying so hard. But you are right about Leofrith. Hot, strong, tall and loyal?? Hell yeah. Also Hytham is 😘😘😘 I preferred Ivarr over Ubba tho. He was just so wild😄
Will do! Truthfully, I don’t hate it. It’s definitely my least favorite of all the AC games I’ve played and it’s feels like a HUGE step back from Odyssey (but I thought Odyssey was pretty much *chefs kiss* perfect). I know a little about the ending but I’m confused and I’m thinking I might just make a post about my confusion because I know exactly why the Valhalla ending messed me up. Though, I might just put that in with my reaction (which won’t be for a while, I am ✨Distracted✨). As for the characters, I, on the Gods, wish Leofrith had the option to stay in the camp and be romanceable. I’d have eyes ONLY for him in such a case :) Hytham luckily does stay so at least we can admire? Lol. I’ll have to disagree on Ivarr, but I won’t say anything mean about him in this post because you seem very nice and you didn’t trash Ubba 🥰

Before I took off for a week and a half or so, did I mention that I would compile a list of any hints I could find in Valhalla that pointed to Rome being next? I think I did, but in case I didn’t—I’m doing that. I’m just not done with the game yet :(

Now that all of my boring essays are done, I can get back to regular AC posting. And my first come back post shall be somewhat controversial.
I HATE the side quest system of Valhalla. It’s confusing, not immersive at all (rather it somehow feels more scripted than the previous side quest systems), and I don’t remember a single one that I’ve done. It’s actually the worst thing I’ve ever experienced as far as side quests go and I sincerely hope they don’t do it again. I do like how zone completion is tracked though!

I still have one more essay to do before I get back to my regular AC posts BUT if anyone wants to talk about Immortals Fenyx Rising or Blood of Zeus, I’m here for that lol

I recently learned that I have 3 papers due this week (the week before finals week) and none of them are for anything Greece/Rome related so now I’m just sad. If anyone would like to talk about Brasidas, Ubba, Leofrith, or anyone else you like in AC I’m open to any and all distractions
