#KREISLAUFSTADT! TÜBINGEN 2019
“Kreislaufstadt” ist ein Spiel- und Medienprojekt zur klimafreundlichen Umgestaltung Tübingens! Zwischen April und Juni 2019 recherchierten, dokumentierten und konstruierten ein paar Dutzend junge Tübinger*innen rund um das Thema zirkuläre Stadt. Zentrale Fragestellung dabei war: Was verschlingt die Stadt und was spuckt sie wieder aus? Konkret ging es um den alltäglichen Materialbedarf einer Stadt.
Um Antworten auf die Schliche zu kommen, besuchten wir die Recyclinghöfe der Stadt, befragten Geschäfte nach dem Inhalt ihrer Wertstofftonnen, sprachen mit Food-Sharing-Netzwerken und Unverpacktladenpionieren, und .... wir haben jede Menge Minigolfbahnen gebaut.
Die 8 thematischen Bahnen widmeten sich verschiedenen Themenschwerpunkten und Materialien - ausserdem wurde nach dem Leitbild des zirkulären Designs entworfen und gebaut. D.h. alle Einzelteile konnten am Ende wieder auseinander gebaut werden. Ein Minigolf-Tournier gabs natürlich auch:

Wer steckt dahinter?
Das Projekt “Kreislaufstadt” wurde konzipiert und durchgeführt vom Wissenschaftsladen Tübingen (Uli Pöss), Lars Zimmermann (Mifactori Hypercircularity) und Tristan Biere (spacedigger, takitani e.V.). Unterstützt wurde es vom Stadtmuseum Tübingen, dem Bündnis für Familie Tübingen und das Programm “Kultur macht stark” des Bundesministeriums für Bildung und Forschung.

#LICHTFÄNGER - DAS JUNGE KUNST NK 2017 FESTIVALSPIEL
Überall ist Licht! “Licht” war das Motto des JUNGE KUNST NK Festivals 2017, das im Rahmen von 48 Stunden Neukölln überall in Neukölln ein Programm für Kinder und Jugendliche bereithält. Um die Festivalorte miteinander zu verknüpfen und die Programmpunkte interaktiver zu gestalten, haben wir - zusammen mit jungen Neuköllnerinnen und Neuköllnern - das Lichtfänger-Spiel entwickelt.
Das Hauptspiel konnte an allen zentralen Infopoints des Festivals abgeholt und am Ende wieder abgeben werden (Young Arts Neukölln, Infopoint Passagekinos und im Heimathafen Neukölln).
So funktioniert’s:
1. Holt euch das Umhängespiel mit Kontaktkarte.
2. Besucht mindestens drei Festivalorte. Nutzt die Kiezkarten auf dem Spiel und haltet nach Strassenlaternen mit dem Lichtfänger-Logo Ausschau.
3. Jede Station hat ein eigenes Mitmach-, Such- oder Quizspiel. Ihr bekommt Stempel oder Aufkleber, wenn ihr die Spielkarte der Orte gelöst habt. Heftet die Karten an eurer Umhängespiel.
4. Gebt danach (bis zum 01.Juli 2017) die Karten an einem der Infopunkte (am besten direkt im Young Arts Neukölln) oder einer beteiligten Kinder- und Jugendeinrichtung wieder ab und nehmt an der Verlosung teil.
Unter den Mitspielenden werden Kinokarten und Gutscheine zum Fotos selbst ausdrucken verlost.

#NEUNEUKÖLLN
Stadtspiel und interaktive Ausstellung
Eine Stadt im Spiel zu erfahren, eröffnet neue Blickwinkel und kann Perspektiven auf einen gänzlich anderen Alltag bieten. Für das Projekt Neuneukölln entwickelte Spacedigger gemeinsam mit dem Impulsbüro Berlin ein Spiel in dem sich Alt- und Neuneuköllner begegnen und sich über die Zukunft und das Heute austauschen können.
Bei der Abschlussveranstaltung der ersten Projektphase kann der bisherige Projektverlauf an einer interaktiven Tischkarte nachverfolgt und mit Neuneuköllnern diskutiert werden.

Urban Game and Interactive Exhibtion
Experiencing a city in a game can shed light on new ways of living together. In the context of the project Neuneukölln Spacedigger together with Impulsbüro Berlin developed a game for new and old Neuköllners to meet and to discuss about their contemporary and future district.
During the final event you can browse through previous phases of the project in an interactive map and meet other Neuneuköllners.

#MAPPINGNEUKÖLLN
Im August 2016 fand das erste Mapping Neukölln-Spiel bei Young Arts Neukölln im Ganghoferkiez statt. Eine riesige interaktive Tischkarte mit Videooutput und diverse in der Nachbarschaft verteilte Aufgaben zu digitalen Kiezthemen wurden von den zwei Teams der Jugendclubs “Scheune” und “Szenenwechsel” eingeweiht.
Our first “Kiezspiel” took place in August 2016 at Young Arts Neukölln in the Ganghofer neighborhood (Berlin-Neukölln). We had a lot of fun with our huge interactive map that incorporated a video projections and games located in different locations throughout the neighborhood. Well played “Team Pink” from youthcenter “The Scheune” and “Team Neon” from girls club “Szenenwechsel”.

Anxious Borders
Mersin, Turkey and Berlin, Germany

Anxious Borders addresses invisible borders in the urban landscape which delineate spaces of bureaucratic neglect and/or political refuge from spaces that are designated for the “true” inhabitants of the city, namely those who enjoy full citizenship rights in the eyes of the state.
In Mersin, Turkey and Berlin, Germany, Spacedigger and Carbon Collective come together to hold workshops for groups of artists/architects, urbanists, and social scientists. These workshops introduce participants to social field research and innovative information design. Participants then explore questions of inclusion and exclusion through qualitative and quantitative research techniques, creatively mapping out the lived urban landscape as experienced by a variety of different social groups. In Mersin, the workshops address the city as experienced by migrants and inhabitants of neighborhoods underserved by the state. In Berlin, the workshops focuses on Soldinerkiez, Berlin-Wedding.

#POSTDIGITAL DUMPLING
Together with Mert Akbal and Apartment Project we want to explore (and taste!) some of the world’s many types of dumplings. In a series of events, we invite dumpling experts (from anthropologists to street food traders) to share their knowledge and experiences with a small audience.
The kick-off event will take place at Apartment Project in Berlin-Neukölln on October 17th.
In multi-media presentations, we aim at exploring the similarities and differences, the origins and modifications of dumplings that are by-now also part of Berlin’s culinary catalogue.
Join us in exploring Berlin’s dumplings in an experimental cooking and multi-media event.

#APPROACHING SHAOCHONG'S FUTURES WORKSHOP
The Approaching Shaochong’s Futures workshop took place in February 2014 at Yunnan University in Kunming, China. The workshop was initiated by the School of Urban Construction and Managment (http://www.sucm.ynu.edu.cn/, website in Chinese) and organized and moderated by Spacedigger.
The workshop tested strategic planning approaches in the small town of Shaochong in the mountainous region of Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province, China. The township is home to the Nisu Huayao, one of China’s 56 official ethnic minorities and a subgroup of the larger Yi. Living standards and annual income in Shaochong are below the national average and infrastructural deficits from roads to water and electricity supply are pressing. On the other hand does the region feature remarkable natural and cultural landscapes.
Touristic development is regarded as a potential part of future development in Yunnan. In October 2013, the county level government in Shiping and the Chamber of Commerce in Pu’er had signed the investment plans for the “Nisu Huayao Cultural National Park” to promote tourism in the region, with a ‘touristic cottage’ planned in Shaochong.
The 18 students from different departments of Kunming University targeted a number of controversial questions to find a balance between developmental drivers and preservation efforts.

SPACEDIGGER is a transdisciplinary Berlin-based group of researchers and designers dedicated to questions regarding the urban sphere.We develop workshop concepts, conduct research on socio-spatial configurations and design playful or practical interventions in the fabric of the city.
SPCDGGRS:
Duygu Kaban
completed her studies on Urban Planning at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Turkey's oldest design school. She has been offered a graduate scholarship through Bauhaus Foundation to pursue her graduate studies. Her current degree studies on Advanced Urbanism are spanning across two continents at Bauhaus University in Weimar and Tongji University in Shanghai with Gaia and Tristan.
Currently evaluates on the publicness of the public spaces in Istanbul as a final research project.
Her main interest is reproduction of the space through art and collective memory on community planning.

Gaia Agostini
graduated from Roma Tre University with a B.A. in architecture. She is interesested in the ways that private behavior influences public spaces. Questions relating to this connection appeared in all her projects as a common thread.
Gaia is currently based in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Tristan Biere
For his undergraduate research at Leipzig University, Tristan Biere applied Henri Lefebvre's theory of the production of space and Marc Augé's notion of non-places in an analysis of Unknown Pleasures (任逍遥), a 2002 film by Chinese film maker Jia Zhangke.
Tristan holds a M.A. dual-degree in Urban Studies and Design from Bauhaus University in Weimar and Tongji University in Shanghai. For his thesis he was "tracing spatial practices in contemporary Shanghai" from a Lefebvrean perspective.

Jeremy Pine
is a PhD candidate in the anthropology department at the University of Pennsylvania, where his dissertation Cross-Border Trade in Central Asia: A Social Cartography traces the the rise of bazaars in the post-Soviet era. He has conducted fieldwork across the former Soviet Union and in Turkey, the Balkans, and Madagascar. His research in Istanbul contributed to his presentation at the University of California, Berkeley’s conference Orienting Istanbul in 2010. He was the coordinator for the conference and book project Mapping Mongolia at the University of Pennsylvania’s Museum for Archaeology and Anthropology.
