ooh interesting… yeah that’s definitely a possibility. jake can and does handle the situation and everything turns out fine, but dirk gets very upset about his agency being overruled

i dont know if you ever go back to your aus, but the shadow-demon-jake, has there evr been a sever conflict of interests or a fight between them?

yes i absolutely go back to my aus! i love that one. i actually was drawing this jake somewhat recently but i haven't finished yet

for this au i have less of an established plot than some of the others because it was mostly created as an excuse for spooky jake vibes haha, so i don't have a specific answer for this at the moment. my thoughts about this au are mostly related to general mechanics of the possession stuff and some very specific scenarios

if i had to think of a significant conflict for them, the most likely option would probably be jake doing something morally questionable that dirk considers over the line (i kinda talked a little about this idea in another post about him). but for the most part jake is pretty chill, and he prefers being a nuisance to being a Problem. their typical disagreements are more along the lines of what movie to watch lol

lol okay lemme go dig through discord for some more shenanigans I can talk about

roxy and jake have an ongoing thing where sometimes jake will surreptitiously take over and do his best to imitate dirk, and they keep track of how long it takes roxy to figure out that it's actually jake in control (obviously this is dependent on roxy not being able to see dirk's eyes, since that's a dead giveaway)

jake likes to do the thing where you tap someone's opposite shoulder so when they look you aren't there, except he's actually not anywhere. he's lurking in the shadows and just sneaks a little shadow tendril out to bop dirk's shoulder while dirk's at his desk

sometimes jake decides to have fun dressing dirk up in outfits while possessing him. this is usually at least partly a thinly-veiled attempt to get dirk into cosplay for jake's favorite movies (please imagine jake gleefully pulling out the blue body paint while dirk complains loudly in his head)

basically, i had a silly idea in which jake decides that possessing his boyfriend in the shower is a great idea (wink wonk) but his plans are foiled by dirk getting distracted and kind of annoyed because jake isn’t doing dirk’s shower routine properly lol. no funny business until all of the hair products have been properly applied
