Currently cooking up a dialogue editor to make things easier in the future. Also to make the dialogues work to begin with, since right now it's procedurally generating everything dialogue-related during gameplay causing the game to stutter quite a bit, so this is necessary right now
when you see the term "Touhou Flash" (as in adobe flash) what kind of aesthetic/style pops into your mind? any specific video/flash animation/game etc as well?
Right now my main frames of reference are walfas and various IOSYS MVs, but I'd like to know more
More improvements to the dialogue engine!
- Reads from CSVs (dialogues change depending on interacted NPC)
- Different custom fonts and speech bubbles inspired by comics (manga), fully customizable through the same CSV
- Manual linewrapping
Added some backgrounds, and tried testing the movement to see if it's fun (plus a trampoline)
not sure if I should tone this down to feel less action-y or not (this is an RPG). not that it's easy to tell rn before playing but i also wanna try out this poll feature
