Seems like Aizawa got his stump tied off

Seems like Rock lock is lifting up aizawa’s leg, hence the pretty weird angle. Manual also seems to have been the one who tied off his leg.

Also, in the process of writing this post, I just realised rocklock is literally cradling aizawa; one arm around the shoulder, the other under a knee

Edit: I just read the text. Seems like Bakugou is yelling at Midoriya that he shouldn’t be the closest to Shigaraki, since erasure isnt active anymore. Midoriya then replies something along the lines of “then who will defeat shigaraki”. theres characters saying on land / in the sky, so maybe midoriya means that hes the only one able to follow shigaraki to be able to defeat him? I’m not sure, my Japanese really isn’t that good.

Basically Midoriya’s saying something about how, because AFO was transferred to Shigaraki, Shigaraki’s body isn’t able to keep up, and Midoriya’s thinking back on how when he himself got OFA, his body kept imploding cause he wasn’t strong enough.

Half-blind aizawa could still have erasure

In this and this post I explained why I thought Aizawa was half blind, and I still think so, but now it seems he could still be able to use erasure??

His hair is floating up like when he uses his quirk in both panels of 283 where you can actually see his face, and its not on the side where he couldve been blinded.

Also, I’ve seen people theorize that Aizawa cant use erasure with only one eye open, mostly because otherwise aizawa could’ve just winked his way through the battle, but you have to remember closing one eye reduces your field of vision by 30 degrees, and Aizawa has to keep the opponent in sight the entire time to keep their quirk erased, so it wouldn’t have been practical.

I am now more convinced than ever that aizawa’s eye got gashed. Facial wounds do bleed more than any other part of the body, but thats still an impossible amount of blood if all shigaraki did was nick his forehead.

Also, is Aizawa still conscious? He’s clearly gritting his teeth in pain, which is definitely not something an unconscious man does

According to bnha’s english translator, Aizawa’s leg wasn’t just twisted, it got fucking obliterated by the nomu. probably would have to be amputated either way, although theres probably medical quirks that could’ve helped with it.

bnha 282: aizawa might be blinded

heres why

In this panel, shigaraki grabs aizawa’s face

Then in the next page, shigaraki’s hand moves downwards, so it could possibly claw and damage his eyes. dude probably has really sharp nails

then several pages later, theres a closeup on aizawa’s face. im fairly convinced the blue part i marked is where his face was clawed over his eye, and then the green part is the blood trails, since the blue part is a lot thicker and if the wound were higher up, blood wouldn’t flow like that

Also from the start to when shigaraki poses in this chapter couldn’t have been more than half a minute, and its apparently pretty difficult to lose so much blood that you faint in half a minute, even if you cut your own leg off, so im guessing the additional pain/ shock from injuring his eyes knocked him out for good

also midoriya is literally in tears which kinda wouldnt make sense if all aizawa was was unconcious
