On top of this, my friends and I realized transformers more than likely use paints and stuff that's toxic to us. So you're just walking about, you see a car, it gives off weird vibes, and then you noticed its paint looks to be a famously toxic pigment that was banned back when horse-drawn carriages were still popular
I think transformers should lean more into the uncanny aspects, especially with their alt modes. As a treat. Like, at a first glance everything looks normal, but there are little things that only mechanics and car nerds pick up on, details that don't line up with the model, and even though it's turned off, something about it feels alive, and there's this lingering feeling that it's watching those who come near.

Man, now that I've finished beast machines I cannot stop thinking about it. It had a lot of issues, undoubtedly, but its premise and themes are so interesting, especially when paired with the greater transformers lore. I really like the premise of a robotic civilization evolving to be partly organic, I like that it can mirror the wack-ass ways our own planet evolves, and I LOVE that it turns a majority of sci-fi "robotics is the final stage of evolution" stuff COMPLETELY on its head by showing a civilization that has always been robotic choosing and fighting to embrace elements of organic life.
