OMG WHAT?! I’ve been there a few times this year and I had no idea! I got Pidge there for fucks sake!
Their displays were bad but I didn’t think they were any worse than chain pet stores, but I had no idea that they were keeping such inappropriate species. I did see a baby pot bellied pig there once which pissed me off a little
I feel so bad that I supported them I’m definitely never going back
me: wow, could it be? a fish store near me with a nice selection and clean tanks?
store’s facebook page: just got in some dwarf caimans and baby sturgeons! 25% off sale this thursday on freshwater florida stingrays, alligator gars, and silver arowanas. make sure to check out our new electric eel when you come in. :) stay tuned for next week’s shipment of a chambered nautilus, golden dorado (as seen on river monsters), and indo-pacific tarpon!
First tank update on this blog! This is my Spec V that I have at school with me, the only official inhabitant is a pea puffer because when I got him I thought they were fine in a 5 gallon, I found out that they actually do better in 10+ gallons so I’m moving him into a bigger tank when I move home for the summer. I have a towel over the back of the tank because Pidge (the puffer) seems a little more relaxed when I have the back of the tank covered, but I don’t think I’m gonna get actual window cling for it because I’m gonna be moving him in like a month anyways. I do ~30-40% water changes two or three times weekly because Pidge and the ramshorn snails in there have a HUGE bioload. There’s actually a baby yellow neo davidi in there too, I brought it along with a few pest snails from my old tank thinking it would be good enrichment for Pidge to hunt it down but he just ignores it? I might bring over a few more babies so the little guy can have some company. That’s pretty much it for this tank, it’s not the most attractive aquascape but I’m pretty proud of it. Sorry this was so long, I’m really bored and I have no idea what I’m doing.
