Can you please post the full synopsis of the 1993 Betty Boop movie, spoilers included?
I’ll do my best...its been about 10 years since I read it...some things may be hazy... (For those curious about the context, at The School of Visual Arts in the student library they had the script for an unproduced Betty Boop movie, which I read during my final year at the college.)
Betty is part of a vaudeville show with her Uncle Max, I believe the two get separated somehow and Betty thinks to find him in Hollywood. Along the way she meets Bimbo and Koko who become her friends and a big Hollywood producer (IE the love interest) wants to make her a star. Meanwhile Uncle Max is trying to find Betty. There’s also a female villain who’s jealous of Betty and wants to get with the producer. If I remember correctly the female villain ends up driving off a cliff. Betty finds her Uncle Max and she ends up the producer guy. That’s all I can remember...
There’s musical numbers written into the script, but no song lyrics, and a lot of slapstick scenes with Bimbo and Koko, one involves Koko inflating like a balloon (I believe there is concept art of this) and there’s also a scene where Betty is at a party and talks to a bunch of old timey celebrities like Cary Grant, James Cagney, Peter Lorre, Bette Davis, and Greta Garbo.
The Long Gone Gulch original soundtrack by Kreeps is available NOW! https://tinyurl.com/wfyfcfd4
We knew we didn’t want “Long Gone Gulch” to have a traditional Western soundtrack, and then like destiny, we found the music of Kreeps! The score moves flawlessly through so many different styles: Electronica, jazz funk, horror synth, doo wop, and plenty of beautiful twangy surf rock! Like the classic cartoons of old, the music supports the character’s movements and in another sense, the music itself acts as its own character, giving a voice to the actual world of the Gulch. That is more than what we could have ever hoped for. Listening to this score severed from the actual cartoon is a completely different and satisfying experience on its own. We hope you all enjoy the visceral and energetic music of Kreeps!
Digital download contains 27 tracks and music cues from the show and Long Gone Gulch theme Wallpapers for mobile and desktop
It ain’t no mirage. Long Gone Gulch hit ONE MILLION VIEWS on Youtube in just 2 weeks! A BIG congratz to our amazing crew for making this truly something special, and a BIG thanks to all of YOU for your support. THANK YOU!
