i don't know who needs to hear this, but guilt, self-hatred and shame are not sustainable sources of growth and healing. you can't hate yourself into feeling better, or being better. you can't repeatedly punish yourself for your flawed humanity and expect wholesome results.
The weirdest guy I ever met in a church was this boy who referred to “Buzz Aldrin and his husband” going to the moon. I was completely baffled, and when I asked if he’d misspoken, he got really angry and accused me of being deliberately ignorant of the facts. It turned out that he was somehow comvinced that Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong were married. It took five Wikipedia articles to convince him otherwise.
Watcher fans are actually insufferable. I don’t care if you’re poor nobody is entitled to ANYONES art or work for free. It doesn’t matter if it was free in the past, you don’t have to buy it or support but that doesn’t mean they’re wrong for doing so. Were some of their comments tone deaf? 100% but that’s not an excuse to be wildly racist while putting your favourite white boy on a pedestal. Also stop acting like they’re these multiple billionaires the money they make also goes to their employees, rent utilities for their sets and office, to creating their videos etc. everyone saying they don’t want or care about higher production value good for you but have you ever considered that they care? That they want to grow and experiment as artists and creatives? Also stop trying to hold your “support” over their heads. Everytime you have supported them financially you got something out of it. You bought merch? Guess what you got merch. Bought their patron? You got exclusive or early access content. Watched an ad? You got an otherwise free video. Maybe these guys don’t want to have to be “sponsor friendly” and work with brands maybe they want to be able to make content based on what they want.
Tldr: y’all are racist and whiney so please shut up x
