'I first learned about Slipknot in the fall of 2000 when I happened to come across Grind House Magazine at a bookstore. I just finished drawing the first episode of a manga called "Dorohedoro" which is full of masked characters. I felt something about the Slipknot photo on the cover, so I bought the magazine and took it home. The next day I went to buy a CD. The music was great, and I remember feeling happy and thinking, "We hit the jackpot!"
Slipknot's live performances are just so much fun.
In 2001, I went to ``SUMMER SONIC'''s two solo concerts in Tokyo and Osaka in November, and two more in 2002. I watched from a corner of the front row every time, and I have many fond memories of getting bruises from the fences from the pressure of the mosh behind me, and ending up in the hospital because of excessive headbanging.
