Joining the jwcc oc bandwagon. This is Will, he got to camp bc one of his moms is an engineer in the park. He got a new gender around s2. I don't have any solid plans but he becomes a mechanic when he grows up :]

Ok, I'm home so now I'm gonna talk about this some more. It's not a Whole Lot, but still. So the whole forehead scar thing makes sense in regards to Ben becoming a more impulsive person. For a face to noticeably scar, the injury has to be Pretty Fucking Bad. For a scar like that to be on the forehead, that runs the risk of the injury having done cranial and/or brain damage. The frontal lobe is right in that forehead area. The frontal lobe is like the main area that controls a Lot (voluntary movement, speech, behavior/personality). Damage to that can affect those things.

Ben returning with a 'new personality' can absolutely be a purely psychological thing, but in the context of the hc that he had damage to the forehead either from the fall itself or from the pterodactyls/pteranodons, the possibility of frontal lobe damage could factor in. Him becoming an impulsive and irritable person with poor risk assessment because of something like that makes a lot of sense, along with the sensory seeking behavior toward fire. Less so on that part because sensory stuff is more parietal lobe, which is behind the frontal lobe, but your brain is connected to itself, and everything affects everything else in there so who knows.

Again the shift in behavior is also super explainable by. Gestures. The Trauma. But it's fun to think about the physiological side of it too I think
