I may not be the best at pep talks, but my sister was not feeling good at All, depression kicking her ass and she was having those certain thoughts and I was like naming all the things worth living and I was doing gr8 imo but I made her laugh (bc we both use humor as a cooldown) and was like, "Goop, what the fuck do you think you're doing dying without at least 80 more tattoos and cute earrings??? You just gonna go on knowing I'll have more tats than you??" Bc she bragged (playfully) that she has 2 tattoos and I have one.
And it made her laugh even harder when I was like, "Boy we got corresponding plushies, you gonna leave Catppucino alone??" Bc her and I have lil cats in coffee cups that match.
So no I may not be the best at pep talks but she feels much better and I had her laughing and talking bout her feelings which I consider a win
I think the one word that comes to mind when I think about him is IMPACT.
He made an impact on this world, a huge one for the black commmunity. The black writers, actors, dreamers and believers were given aspirations. He made one for the generations to come, he paved a road. Let’s be sure we use it.
