sort of a follow up to my previous ask: is there a guide on how to make want disablers that doesn't revolve around the wanttrees files? what i mean is a file u put in ur downloads to disable them. i only found midge's tutorial but i don't think it's what im looking for
I don't know such a guide. You may try to look for tutorials about making BHAV overrides or global mods. The resource I mentioned in the previous post is in the objects.package file, just like the vast majority of the BHAV resources.

Hi Nopke! Do you know if there's a mod out there that disables aggressive interactions (i.e. "hiss at" for cats, "growl at" for dogs, etc) in pets' self-click menus with controlpets enabled? Someone told me they tested this in a cc-free game and it makes no sense. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
Less Pet Warfare by Pescado hides those interactions as a side effect of relationship checks.

Do you, for any chance, know where the genetic parts icons are located so I can extract them? The icons in CAS for eyecolors and in bodyshop for skintones
They're in: [base game installation folder]\TSData\Res\UI\ui.package
If you have the Ultimate Collection, then the base game installation folder is probably: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Double Deluxe\Base

Hi Nopke!
I downloaded your latest update of Elevator WooHoo Memories & Wants Fix and there was an issue with the certain wants and LTWs (#### missing string for <so-and-so ltw> and #### missing string for <so-and-so want>, I saw this for skills wants for example). I also use Want Check Tree Fixes by Simler90 (as well as 50 ltws and epi's have dog/cat wants) which is also fixes some elevator wants, is there a chance they may conflict? HDCU doesnt show any conflicts though, so I am confused :(

I don't think it's an issue caused by my or Simler's mod. You could try remove both and check if it still happens. I'm almost sure it won't help.
I guess it's caused by a mod which modifies the Wants file (like 50 New Lifetime Wants). Perhaps you use a version which is not right for your game setup or you use more than one mod which does it.

Update (12 Feb 2024): Fixed want issues as well. The mod no longer requires Apartment Life or Mansion and Garden Stuff to work.

i was just curious since this is something i've wanted for my game for a while can the "have 10 children" want be disabled through the means of normal want disabler mods (putting a file in your downloads), or is it one of those wants/fears that can only be disabled through wanttrees?
It could be disabled through a normal download mod.

Hi Nopke, can you tell us how one can change the facial category and sort code of a custom Face Slider?
A slider section is defined in Face Modifier XML (XFMD) resources, in the groupindex line:
0x00000001 – forehead
0x00000002 – eyes
0x00000003 – nose
0x00000004 – mouth
0x00000005 – jaw
A slider order is defined in Binary Index (BINX) resources, in the sortindex line.
Note that all XFMD and BINX resources in a slider package need to be changed for consistency across different ages, genders, and environments (CaS and Body Shop).

Hi Nopke, is your unpublished CareDontWave mod compatible with Picknmixmods Autonomously Eat Leftovers with a certain loading order?

I think they aren't compatible.
When Pick'n'Mix's mod loads before mine, then it has no chance to work. When it loads after mine, then I'm afraid Sims may starve to death if there are no leftovers or market baskets on the lot. I'm not completely sure though.
You may try Dizzy's Leftover Hack instead which is compatible with my mod.

i've generated hundreds of townies with your character generator on the random skintone and they're all s1 (light). other generation methods come up with different skintones, and i'm using randomizer fixes while restarting the game in-between attempts. does it do that when you use it?
I have never experienced that. But I have already received a similar report.
Check if it happens without any other mods installed. Make sure to turn the genetic inheritance option off.

Hello, I use your Aging Townie Aspiration Fix in my game, and I wanted to also try using the Child & Teen Plantsim mod by midgethetree. But I read in the changelog of the mod that the creator incorporated simler90’s ”npc aging fix” (which I’m assuming is the one that conflicts with your mod) in their plantsim mod. Now I’m not sure what to do. I’d like to have your version as I prefer aspirations being random, but I guess in that case I can’t use the plantsim mod?
My mod doesn't conflict directly with simler90's. However, using them both will make you have to choose aspirations anyway.
It's a pity that there's no version of Child & Teen Plantsim without simler90's mod incorporated because it would be compatible with my mod.

Do you know if there exists a mod that overhauls bug catching in TS2, so it's similar to the later games? (i.e. caught bugs individually appear in the inventory and can be displayed as objects, unlike the vanilla game where they appear collectively in the Sim's bug box)
I don't know such a mod and I doubt there is any.
Making one would require much work. Even more if you'd like an ambitious implementation with proper effects, object animations, spawning, and collection tracking 😁
Edit: As @limeyyoshi said, you could try Social Bug Hunting by Pick'n'Mix.
