you've mentioned the saints and the churches a bit, do you think they have hymns and songs?
I do, yeah! Hymns and songs are such a big part of worship, it would be hard for them not to have them.
The two big churches I've done worldbuilding for are Order of Remembrance, and Saint of Blood and Steel, and both of them would make use of music.
The OR would use it as a tool for memorization, both for names and people, as well as poetry and song from cultural icons. They have a lot of poets, songwriters and historians decorating their church, and I feel like memorizing their works through hymns would be a feature of their weekly services.
For SBS, the Saint is primarily concerned with acts of heroic bravery tied to their paladins. Many enterprises taken on by their paladins are turned into ballads, battle hymns, and epic poetry [and I figure it's the epic poetry that got Helsknight started on his own poems]. They would also probably make use of marching songs, and other team building chants, and their blacksmiths would use chants for timing swings [an act of service for SBS involves helping the blacksmiths forge, and having someone give you a beat to swing to helps.]

THIS CHAPTER!! OUGH, I CANT. ITS SO ANGSTY BUT ALSO FLUFFY! Agh, i cant. This chapter made me cry, poor Guish D;
For context, I have read many sad and angsty of both books and fanfics and almost none of them made me cry except for a few. Rns is one of these. and on TWO OCCASIONS has it made me cry! (Once with Tanguish and Helsknight's fight and again with the stab :[ )
I love rns so much. I wish to shrink both Tanguish and Helsknight and put them in my pocket to keep safe. :[ my bois, my guys, my sillys.
I have no words but all the words all at the same time.

I’m reading The Girl Who Drank the Moon rn and every chapter title starts with ‘in which’ and I keep thinking “this is some RnS type shit right here.”
That's awesome! The "In which" phrase for a chapter heading pops up so much in fanfic, it's cool to see it's leaked into [or maybe has its roots in?] a published work.
