A basic timeline of Shine’s relationships with friends and girls he’s had over the course of his youtube career.
June 2012Â
- Shine first creates his Youtube channel. During this time, he is living in Alaska with his grandparents and cousin, Monica.
Nov. 2013Â
-Â Shine (age: 16) starts dating Lindsay (age: 17), possibly also meets Kat around this time.
December 2013Â
- Shine visits UK on Dec. 3rd for the first time for a week and stays with Lindsay.

ShinePHD (Previously known as Einshine, full name is Charles Hikaru Tachibana-Schwingendorf) is a 20 year old Japanese-American Youtuber who used to have over a million subscribers, but recently created a new main channel. His current channel, ShinePHD, has over 100,000 subscribers. He is known for his Minecraft content, anime-themed videos, vlogs, and his “comedy” skits. He has also collaborated with many other very popular youtubers, such as SkyDoesMinecraft, SamGladiator, TheAnimeMan, Sharla in Japan, and many others in the Minecraft, anime, and jvlogging communities.

Recently, it has come out that he had a sexual relationship with an underage girl in which he was abusive and manipulative. He also had other relationships with girls that showed he had a preference for young girls with little to no sexual experience. Through his Snapchat, he has flirted with fans regardless of their age, and has pursued relationships with underage girls, as seen in Ashley’s case.Â

With girls, he paints himself as the kind of guy who never seems to get a girlfriend, and that he always gets friend-zoned. He also claims to any new girls that he meets that all of his past girlfriends were abusive or insane. He has also never been able to get a girlfriend in real life, and has only been able to get them because of his reputation as a Youtuber and talking to them through Snapchat.
Shine typically goes after female fans who are young,  have little sexual experience, or have never had a boyfriend before.  He tries to win girls’ sympathies by making it seem like he can never get a girlfriend, only had abusive girlfriends, and only ever gets friend-zoned.Â

- Claims that she chased him with a knife, hit him, starved him, abused him while he lived with her.
- Also made negative comments about Joey (TheAnimeMan), Aki Dearest, Sharla (Sharla in Japan), and other girls he was talking to through Snapchat to Ashley.
- In the “I’m Racist.” video, he says that it’s okay to have these opinions and that it’s good that you’re thinking for yourself, but then goes on to say the opinion is stupid for twelve minutes straight. This video displays how intolerant he is of other people’s opinions and how strongly he believes his own to be the only “intelligent” one.
- Basically thinks Japan is above every other country in the world and can do no wrong, always stresses that he’s half Japanese.
- Watches hentai everyday (to the point where it’s probably the reason why he has erectile dysfunction)
- Has claimed he wants to be a sociopath so he won’t have to feel anything. Â

Lindsay & Einshine: Summary

The story has been put under a read more due to certain aspects of it being possibly exaggerated or made up.
Full Story / Pictures of Lindsay and Einshine
Lindsay was one of Shine’s first girlfriends, who dated him from around Nov. 2013 - May 2014. Shine originally traveled to meet her and stay with her for a week, and later moved in with her for a few months when he was 17.Â
Later on in their relationship, Shine once left his laptop on and on the computer, Lindsay saw that he had been messaging 10-13 year old fans on Skype. Another time during their relationship, he wanted to meet up with two 13 year old fans who lived near them. At the time, he was 17.Â
To this day, Shine still talks about his relationship with Lindsay to every new girl he meets, and talks terribly about her and makes up rumors about her.Â

Ashley & Einshine: Summary

Ashley is a 15 year old girl who initially met Shine back in Feb. 2016, when she was 14 years old. They met over Snapchat and over the next few months, Shine sent her increasingly sexual messages. He would talk to her about his fetishes, the kind of porn he liked, his preferences in girls, and talked about how he really liked loli-type girls. He was especially obsessed with the fact that Ashley had never even kissed a boy before, and was a complete virgin.
Eventually, Ashley told Shine that she would be coming to Japan in the beginning of August. At this, Shine began to discuss having sex with her when she got to Japan. They also began to officially date at this time. The day she got to Japan, Shine took her right to the Apa Hotel in Sugamo, Tokyo where he filmed part of his Million Subscriber video and later had sex with her.Â
After this, Shine took Ashley to his house and refused to tell her mother their address and wouldn’t answer her when she called. For a week, he kept Ashley at his house and only let her leave to see her mom once. He became increasingly rude to her as the week went on, and refused to do anything about the UTI she developed. All of this transpired during the making of his million subscriber video, and is the reason why the video was delayed.Â
Things Shine did to Ashley during her time there:
Took her to a sex shop to buy her a collar, had sex with her multiple times, withheld her medication, didn’t tell her mom where she was, caused her to have a panic attack, did not take her to the doctor when she had a UTI, broke his keyboard and threw food at her when he got angry at her

Since breaking up with her, he has mocked Ashley for having a panic attack to other girls and has made fun of her crying. He claimed that the reason she had a panic attack was because she thought they were dating and he told her they weren’t, so she broke down and had a panic attack.Â

>On Shine triggering her to have a panic attack, purposely: “He got right up in my face and screamed at me at the top of his lungs, making me break down into a panic attack while he told me that panic attacks and PTSD didn’t exist. Kat agreed with everything he said even shouted at me to “shut the fuck up.” After everything calmed down a bit, I went to sleep in Kat’s room and as I cried, he stood in the doorway and mockingly said,“ I’m glad I was your first love.”

Wendy first met Shine around June 2016 at a meetup. At the meetup, she ended up being in one of his videos. A few days later, Wendy and Shine went out for the day around Tokyo and after, he mostly stopped talking to her.Â
After not speaking to her for 2 months, when Wendy messaged him again in September, he suddenly replied a lot and seemed interested in her. He asked her to hang out with him, and they went out a few times. Throughout this, Shine acted flirty with her, sending her kissy-emojis and such. He also told her about his past relationships with Lindsay and Ashley, both of whom he made fun of and lied about to her.Â
The first time Wendy went to his house, he tried to get her to sleep with him but she refused. The second time she slept over, he asked to sleep with her, but just cuddle. Things ended up escalating past this, however they did not have sex. In the end, Shine told her that he couldn’t have a girlfriend right now, despite leading her on the night before. After sleeping with her, Shine stopped talking to Wendy.Â
When Wendy thought her drink was possibly spiked and texted Shine, Shine was nonchalant about it and said that that “doesn’t happen in Japan.”
