A Christmas to Remember
Merry Christmas, @galaxyweirdo! I hope yours is one to remember! (Though quite less memorable than Pidge and Shiro’s!)

Pidge and Shiro had a lot of ‘firsts’ in their relationship, starting from the moment they met and became friends, extending to when they began to date, and their marriage only led to more firsts.
Therefore, they were certain that their first married Christmas was going to be spectacular.
While work for the Garrison took them away from home for most of December, the newlyweds had eagerly discussed their plans for the most perfect Christmas Eve. They had agreed that Christmas Day would be spent with family and friends, but Christmas Eve was just for them.
Visions of cuddling in front of the fire, underneath the Christmas tree, fuzzy socks on feet, cozy warm sweaters on. Hot chocolate in hand, whipped cream and marshmallows and candy canes sticking out from overtop the rims of their mugs.
It was to be perfect and incredibly romantic. A Christmas to remember.
It was, in every sense of the phrase, wishful thinking.
Because it turned out to be a disaster.
