In addition to this, for all of the mothers who have continued through or are currently continuing through wanted pregnancies, I am in nothing short of awe and respect for you for the energy expense and changes you are going or have gone through.
It is nothing short of infuriating to me that pregnancy and caring for a newborn is not considered under the vast majority of workplace accommodations. It is outrageous to me that women in the military (and perhaps other fields) have to sometimes file for disability and therefore have a process natural for us legally recognized as a medical abnormality or condition in order to receive certain supports that should already be in place, but aren't due to men and male biology being considered the standard way of things. It is upsetting to me that being a mother is not considered a category under 'diversity, equity, and inclusion' (DEI) academic policies and considerations, and that colleges aren't more structured around the needs of mothers both as workplaces and for the female student population. It is depressing to me to understand that the way that our economic system is structured means that as women take leave from their careers to raise their children even with pay, fathers meanwhile are incentivized to continue to invest time into their professions earning promotions and higher wages.
No woman should be forced to continue an unwanted impregnation, and no woman should be treated as a passive vessel or a burden for being a mother.

I do find it funny that lesbians are perceived as man-hating but gay men are not perceived as woman-hating, and in fact are often illogically shielded from accusations of misogyny simply by being gay

Yes, thank you. I've made so many posts about this. Even Dr. Hamburger, who "transitioned" Christine Jorgeson and essentially kicked off the craze in the medical industry to pursue what we're calling "gender affirming care", was a eugenicist.
Hirschfeld was gay himself, but he also believed that homosexuality was "God's way of preventing the spread of inferior genes" and was a eugenicist.
The vast majority of "gender affirming care" research came out of Nazi Germany. This isn't a case of "well, a lot of scientific research we use today did"—the core foundations from the ideology behind the procedures itself is surviving. Non conformity to sex-based norms, (more common in the homosexual population), complex verbal and non-verbal forms of communication and mannerisms atypical to sex-based norms, and descriptions of "feeling like" the other sex (which was often just a shortcut way of describing homosexual orientation or a kinship with the other sex) are still considered as something that needs "correcting" under "gender affirming care" and evidence that a person is "in the wrong body".
The ideology of sterilizing and "correcting" gay and mentally ill ("feeble minded", back then) populations as a normal and acceptable thing through surgical manipulation is at the heart of "gender affirming care".

If a transwoman-identifying male "passes" and is discriminated against for being percieved as female, then they aren't being read as transgender and are not experiencing transphobia.
If a transwoman-identifying male doesn't "pass" as female and is percieved to be transgender and is discriminated against for being percieved as trans, then they are being percieved as male and not female and not experiencing misogyny.
If a man in drag, a trans-identifying male person, etc. is percieved as male and discriminated against because he's male and feminine or wearing clothes women typically wear, we already have words for this depending on the context and in what ways the discrimination manifests—sexist thinking or homophobia.
transmisogyny doesn’t exist.
you can’t experience misogyny if you are not a woman holy shit it’s not that hard to comprehend

Rape is the only crime on the books for which arguing that the temptation to commit it was too clear and obvious to resist is treated as a defence. For every other crime, we call that a confession.

I don't normally post or reblog much about JKR, nor do I really any major public figure. I also try to not post too much about gender ideology. But JK Rowling essentially put herself in between women and the police. And she didn't hesitate.

I love it when cats are snuggling with you, or you're holding them and they're purring, and they decide to smell something near your ear and their purr gets louder and the sniffing makes it sound like the rough idle of a 25 year old Dodge.

Regularly venting about other people or judging others for mistakes or miscommunications in a negative light persistently, especially within a workplace, is a behavior that I hope becomes unlearned. It's contagious and if we catch ourselves doing it, we shouldn't lean in. It creates in-groups and out-groups, creates an environment in which everyone including those venting feel unsafe, and just generally lacks a trauma-informed perspective.
I'm not talking about venting and judgement that may be a proportionate response to sexual harassment or other exploitive behavior. But someone slacking at their job duties because they're understaffed and/or overworked, misunderstanding an email or a conversation, forgetting details mentioned in a meeting, etc.—these are all very human errors which may occur especially during the flaring up of traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, illnesses or disabilities, exhaustion, side effects of medications, and so on.
Venting, casting judgement, blaming, etc. creates distrust and lack of emotional safety, fragments human groups and teams, and contributes to a really toxic environment.
