I have heard many different stories as to how Tate either lost the job or walked away, either way she did do these promo photos.
Linda Kaye, Bea Benaderet, Pat Woodell and Sharon Tate in a publicity still for ‘Petticoat Junction’, 1963.
She was originally cast in the role of “Billie Jo” on the show, but she walked away on advice from to her manager, Martin Ransohoff. He didn’t feel it was a good launching pad for her career.
