Clace ending
Did you like the clace ending? I felt they did ended it in a way that a spin off could happen easily but then again it was disappointing. Even if Clary knows who jace is it will still take a long time for her to restore her memories in general. And I have no clue if she’ll remember it as a whole. I’m just nitpicking at this point because I’m a pessimist but am I the only who was a bit unhappy with the clace ending?

Am I the only one who still hasn’t given up hope. I mean I still see a VERT STRONG possibility for a renewal. In the end, they just showed us a 1 year time jump which isn’t really much. And I feel like we can have another season dedicated to helping Clary get her memories back. And we can see Maia as the badass Alpha that she is. And SOOOOO much more can be explored. (I low-key still don’t think Asmodeus was beaten just like that…..tooo easy… kinda)
For atleast a VERY LONG TIME. I am gonna have hope. I have seen other great shows come back thanks to the dedication of fans and I believe we can work here too. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

BUT CAN WE TALK ABOUT THESE SHIPS & THIS ENDGAME…
Luke x Maryse vacationing in Brazil! Their character development was EVERYTHING. They are better together and it shows. YAY… Lightway??? Garrowood???
Magnus x Alec!! Aka High Warlock of Alicante x Mr. Inquisitor!!! The Power couple of all power couples got everything they deserved and are literally changing hearts and minds everywhere.
PLUS the Malac wedding was beautiful. Entirely too short but still beautiful. It was nice seeing everyone, even minor characters, tie up their storylines with pretty little bows at the reception.
Simon x Izzy!!! Finally! I would take this Deputy Vampire Author x Head of the New York Institute pairing anyday of the week. Give me more. No, seriously. More please.
Did Magnus call Clary “Biscuit”?! I melt. This show is such an ensemble and I love it.
Jace forever reminding Alec of their parabatai bond is so soft.
Also, I’m LIVING for Jace training Simon and booping him… I wanted to see them grow.
AND Clary asking Izzy to be her parabatai… dang.
Clary x Jace!!!! The Trainer x the Art Student!
Their ending was cinematically perfect and was what the show needed in order to feel like it came full circle. Her being punished and loosing her memories was a bit of a waste *imo* (it either needed to be cut or given more screentime) but I genuinely appreciate what they were going for and the end scene was totally worth it. Because SHE REMEMBERS HIM despite everything.
I cannot not appreciate the little details here.
Clary wrote in her letter to Jace that “Even if I don’t remember you, you will always be in my heart.” Then her heartbeat sounds as her last rune disappears and she forgets everything about the shadow world. Clarys heartbeat sounds again when she touches Jaces rune outside of the art gallery because he is in her heart and SHE REMEMBERS HIM and her love for him will never die!
And ‘Where We Come Alive’ by Ruelle… how perfect was that song choice!?! “I can see the future painted in my eyes.” As Clary stands in front of her paintings of her missing memories. “Open up the door and fade into the light.” When she sees Jace and the door to her past literally opens. “Dive into a world I know. Take my hands and follow me into the sun. There’s no end ´cause ooh this is where we come alive.” As she follows him into the the alley and calls him by name. THEN “Out of the shadows and into the light, bringing the unknown. This is where we come alive.” Plays as Jace, along with her unknown past, are able to step out of the shadow. And she comes alive with the beating of her own heart.
By the Angels.. I love the imagery and symbolism of it all!!! A++
Speaking of light… was the light at the very end Jacelyn? It reminded me of the ball of light that turned into her earlier in the episode. Or was it Raziel? Definately looked similar to the same golden light from 2x20. Ithuriel is dead, right? So it couldnt have been him…??? Either way, the angels are watching and they heard Jace’s prayers (he prayed every single day that their love was stronger than any spite, which it clearly is) and now CLARY REMEMBERS HIM.
We got ALL the ships *imo* and now it’s over and it was so much better than I could have imagined that we would get.
Even Jonathans final scene was beautiful and surprisingly redeeming. Clary finally got to save the boy in the tower from himself.
*i feel for those that didnt get the ending that they needed. i know the feeling all too well. i dont want a ship war on my hands. nothing but respect here. hail and farewell.*

My thoughts while watching the Shadowhunters finale: All Good Things…
- Oh, good. This episode is an hour.
- No “Previously on Shadowhunters…” ? Just, straight into the episode? Okay, good.
- Love the callback to how Lilith looked the first time we saw her. Also, how Jonathan looked after his transformation.
- Meliorn can’t die. That would be cruel.
- “Actually, he might die.” That is both really funny and really sad.
- Magnus AND Lorenzo saving Meliorn? Yeah, he’s gonna live.
- Magnus and Lorenzo working together. I didn’t realise I needed that. It looks amazing though.
- Izzy just saved everyone.
- Everyone is so protective of Izzy. I love it.
- I know this part is trying really hard to look cool, but is just looks kinda weird. Also, I’m dizzy.
- Well, that fixed the Edom problem.
- “There’s no reason to close it if Edom doesn’t exist anymore.” I love the way Magnus said that.
- I don’t want this show to end.
- Yay :).
- “Tonight?”
“Why wait even a day longer?”
- Alec wants to have the wedding in the Institute because of the message it will send. The look on Magnus’ face makes me think he agrees with Alec, but also he just can’t resist a perfectly good opportunity to annoy or antagonise the Clave. And I don’t know which motivation I appreciate and respect more.
- “I do like you in a tux.” Alec is so cute.
- Jace is so proud of Alec, and I love it.
- Clary really ships Malec more than she ships Clace.
- “It’s what we fight for, right? So we can live and love in peace.”
- Of course they had sex.
- Jonathan looks so bored and uninterested. I appreciate that.
- “I’d rather not.”
- Jonathan is amazing in this scene. He’s much more evil and intimidating now his humanity is gone.
- And there are those claws again. Why though? I mean, really?
- “I prefer to rule alone.” Ah, so that’s why you were so obsessed with getting Clary to join you. Got it.
- Yay, the young Seelie Queen is back. She was always my favourite version.
- He really just killed the Seelie Queen. I don’t know if I should be sad that she is dead, or glad that she is dead. She was an awesome character, but, man, she really deserved to die.
- Jonathan is evil and powerful and intimidating, and I’m here for it.
- That smile. Jace is so proud of Alec.
- “Again?”
- “Isabelle, would you ever consider becoming my parabatai?” I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING.
- Are we sure that this is Luke? Like, really, really sure?
- “Ooh. Good luck.” That was really funny.
- Of course she is just going to follow the strange mysterious floating light. Because over the course of three seasons, we have not learned anything.
- Mom? Yeah, I do not trust this.
- Their hair colours are so different.
- Oh, okay. Angels. Did not expect that.
- “Jonathan Shadowhunter.” All of these names are so immensely creative, aren’t they?
- So, just like in Supernatural, Angels are dicks. Also, Clary really deserves a hug.
- I love this heartfelt moment between Magnus and Lorenzo. Before this episode, I would have never thought it possible, but I’m really glad this scene exists.
- Yay. Lorenzo got invited to the wedding.
- I love Maryse.
- So, the show didn’t forget that Robert exists? For a while, I wasn’t sure. I hate him, but I’m still glad he’s invited to the wedding.
- Yeah, that’s probably Jonathan’s doing.
- Max! So, the show didn’t forget that Max exists? For a while, I wasn’t sure.
- That’s not good.
- “Look who’s all grown up.” No, I was not ready for that. Stop smiling like that, Jonathan, you’re not going to kill Max.
- He’s going to kill them, isn’t he?
- Yay, they’re not dead.
- Poor Clary.
- Jonathan’s wings look amazing.
- “Lorenzo and I” I Iove how they’re basically friends now.
- “I’ve never been to Toronto.” That’s a pretty convincing excuse, good job Clary.
- “Of course, biscuit.” He called her biscuit, that’s the second time. :)
- Jonathan is really intimidating compared to before. I love how clear the difference is.
- Is Clary really going to try to talk him out of it?
- “You dreamt of me?” That broke my heart. All he ever wanted was for someone to care enough about him to save him. Even though his understanding of love is a bit messed up, but that is all Lilith’s fault.
- “The boy that I always wanted to save but I never thought I could. I guess I was right.” This is not Clary saying Jonathan can’t be saved. This is Clary giving up on saving Jonathan. And it hurts.
- I can’t tell if Clary is telling the thruth, or if she’s just saying what she knows Jonathan wants to hear.
- He looks so hurt.
- No, no, no, Clary, please, don’t.
- Hugging someone so you can get close enough to hurt/kill them, is one of the most painful things to watch. Jonathan actually trusts her, and he feels safe in her embrace. And Clary just looks devestated.
- No, no, no, Clary. Of course she was going to draw a rune. Why didn’t I see this coming?
- Clary’s wings are beautiful.
- “Clary? Clary! Clary, you’re hurting me. I can’t breathe.” This hurts so much. He sounds so scared.
- “Shh. It’s okay. It’s okay.” Clary feels so bad for doing this, so she’s trying to comfort him.
- “Let me go.”
“I am.”
- Jonathan only ever wanted to be loved. He had a poor understanding of what love is, and he reacted really badly because of rejection. But he really just wanted to be loved. And now, he’s pleading with his sister, the only person he ever loved, to not kill him. This hurts so much.
- His hair isn’t white anymore. Which means he didn’t die as a demon, but as a Nephilim. I am not okay.
- Ave atque vale.
- I feel bad for Clary. She just saved the world, but in order to do it she had to kill her brother and give up her life as a shadowhunter.
- I needed to pause the episode here for a moment, because the next scene started and i know it’s going to be the wedding, and I am not ready yet. Because I am crying because of Jonathan, but I know I will cry at the wedding, but those are two completely different emotions, so I need a moment to compose myself.
- I am not ready, but here we go.
- Madzie is the flower girl.
- This song is beautiful.
- Why is Maryse not walking Alec down the aisle? I guess it’s tradition for the father to do it, but Maryse deserved it more.
- Everyone is smiling so much, I can’t.
- Maryse is walking Magnus down the aisle. Maryse is walking Magnus down the aisle! MARYSE IS WALKING MAGNUS DOWN THE AISLE. I am not okay. Just look at them. They are so happy. And it’s also really sad, because Magnus wouldn’t have had anyone else to do it.
- The kiss. The hug. The smile.
- “The love I have for you, is a love that knows no bounds. In times of joy as well as sadness… In sickness and in health… I will love you as my equal. And protect you above all else. I will share with you my truest feeling. And when you speak, I will listen. I will catch you when you fall. And when you soar, I will help you reach your greatest heights.”
- “Magnus Bane…”
“Alexander Gideon Lightwood…”
“I am and will always be your loving husband.”
- “It is my honour to pronounce you one.”
- I can’t describe in words how happy I am.
- Oh no, poor Clary.
- They are dancing.
- Raphael! I’m glad he’s here. I’m happy for him.
- It sounds like she is saying goodbye. That’s because she’s saying goodbye, isn’t she?
- “Or we could wear tuxes.” I was not ready for that.
- Lorenzo dancing with Madzie is too cute.
- Wow, wait, what? They’re not actually going to do that, are they? Oh, wow, they are. Okay, I ship it. Like, I really, really, really ship it.
- “How about brother?” I have missed you, Max.
- Don’t bother Maryse. Literally everyone knows.
- “Clary, I want you to know, no one will ever replace your mom in Luke’s eyes.” I love you, Maryse.
- Jace and Clary both deserve all the love in the world.
- This is a goodbye.
- She’s losing the Sight. I hadn’t even thought of that.
- She’ll lose her memories too? Damn.
- This hurts so much.
- “ONE YEAR LATER” Seriously? Okay, I kinda wanna know.
- “Mr. Inquisitor”
- Deputized downworlders? That’s amazing.
- “Thanks to you.” I literally said the same thing out loud.
- Magnus is living in Alicante with Alec? Okay, I’m happy with that.
- Magnus’ hair. That’s it.
- Also, his outfit.
- Also, his hair.
- “The High Warlock Of Alicante” What? WHAT? I am so proud of the both of them.
- Have I mentioned Magnus’ hair?
- “To us.”
- A restaurant for all kinds of downworlders? Yes. Also, Maia is alpha? Finally.
- A book? Also, why does that name sound familiar?
- Yay :)
- Izzy is head of the Institute! And Simon is a downworld deputy!
- I have always needed this fight/training scene. And it is amazing.
- “Boop, boop.”
- Simon has gotten really good. Jace is still better.
- Wow, Jace, did you just give Simon a compliment? Are you still bonded to Meliorn?
- He prays every day? It always hurts when Jace cries.
- Shadowhunters love once. Fiercely.
- Those paintings are actually really pretty.
- Clary, your new look? I like it.
- Is she looking at him?
- She’s looking at him.
- “You can see me.” That is how they first met. Why? Why do you have to do this to me?
- She’s starting to remember him. I’m not crying.
- Is this the end? It is the end. I really liked it. I love bookends.
The finale was amazing. I knew I was going to like it, I expected it to be good, but I’m really glad with how everything turned out. The only thing I didn’t really like, was that I felt that too little of the story was dedicated to Jonathan. He was still the main antagonist, and I felt that he deserved a little more time/attention. I don’t think anything should have been cut or made shorter, so the only way it would have been possible is if the episode had been longer. Which is why it is so sad the show was cancelled. There was still so much too explore, so many small storylines that needed to be sidelined. But, given the time they had, I think they did a phenomenal job. All the characters get a good ending to their story. And not just the main characters. They brought so many smaller characters back, gave them all a nice last moment, and all of it felt organic. I loved every bit of this finale. The only thing I would have still wanted to see, was perhaps a fight before Clary and Jonathan talked. To see just how powerful Jonathan was, and to give the others (Jace, Izzy, Alec, Magnus, Simon) a last chance to fight the main antagonist, because I kinda felt like they were robbed of that moment. I still loved the way Jonathan was defeated in the end, even though I would have loved for him to have been purified of his demon blood, and been given a chance at redemption. But that is probably because I always have had a soft spot for Jonathan.
