Something really cute I just thought about.
Astarion is starstruck by the fact that he has someone that loves him. After spending years being owned and having nothing, he finally has someone he can call his. He's always adding a possessive title onto the pet names he calls the player.

He is elated that he is able to call the player his, and will use every oppertunity to do so and to remind the player that he is theirs completely. There's something very cute and pure about that.

Ok, I usually don't do M!Tav but I think it would be a nice change since I mostly write fem!Tav (and especially OC Tav). Besides, relationship with a Drow is always an interesting gender dynamics!

Astarion x M!Drow!Tav
You are that third son who is up to be killed since you can't be used even for giving your mother-matriarch more female descendants.
You were spared though and given to serve Lolth.
The day of your iniciation approaches and you know one thing for sure.
You will fail the Lolth test. You will be turned into a deranged monster, a Drider, and suffer from madness and pain till your long elven days come to an end.
You decide to run.
Besides, there are rumors about drow men who have managed to do that.
It takes you almost a year to find your way to the surface and you immediately get blinded by the sun.
You don't know how to make decisions for yourself, you are afraid of the Lolth curse, and you see spies and scouts in every Drow you encounter.
And you have no fucking clue how to lead this small party of weirdos you end up with.
You still try - you are so desperate to make it work, that you become a leader (and even think your mother would have been proud of you, after all)
Even though you are the smallest in the group (what, 5.2 is absolutely normal for a male drow! You are even called 'tall as a woman'!)
Astarion tries to play on your own insecurities, your fears, your anxieties.
Sweet words, praise. You don't need much to seduce a young drow.
But Astarion has one trait he hates to admit.
He enjoys taking care of others.
And he enjoys taking care of you - and he is actually ready to fight drows should they come for you.
It takes him some time to realize he, indeed, loves you. And he isn't sure how you'd take his confession.
Well, he expected anything but not tears.
But in the end, you forgive him and you end up together, promising to protect each other from evil.
Though, Astarion almost decides to ascend. Mostly because he isn't sure if a spawn can protect his beloved from Lolth.
He still makes a choice not to ascend and you end up cradling him through the night since he needs to mourn all the decades he's lost.
Once it's all over, return to the Underdark is out of the question. And you decide to get somewhere far enough not to think of your clan coming for your soul.
And somewhere Astarion can walk freely.

Some Tieflings DnD variations for the fanfic writers and artists!!
There’s a lot about tieflings on the internet. If you’re gonna do BG3 fanfics about tieflings, please please please consider adding some spice with origin lore and canon facts about their race :) it would be SO fun!
Pls I need more zevlor fanfic too.
- tieflings are prone to bad luck, because of the curse of aasimar.
- loviatar, the goddess, is a tiefling. For those weird people in act 1 who like that fucking guy.
- they’re arcanally gifted, most of them. zariel tieflings are much better melee fighters.
- tielfling blood is tainted from the hells so they could have human parents. Be dscedents of demon, devils, evil deities, night hags, and succubus!
- i know y’all love aphrodisiac fanfics, succubus spittle is exactly what you need dawg. Someone make me a fanfic including succubus heritage.
- along with that, tieflings are unable to breed with anyone except humans or other tieflings. Literally. They can be tiefling or human.
- usually there is some tell to if they’re zariel, amsmodeus, Mephistopheles by birth mark, or traits like cat eyes (they’re portrayed as flaming pupils in bg3, so cool), or night hags bloodlines have red eyes without pupils or scelaras
- tieflings can be male, female, or without gender. Literally written about.
- they can be green, blue, purple, pink, yellow, red. With dark hair colors only like black, purple, dark red and blue. I don’t care for this, genes be gene-ing so have any color you want.
- tieflings can have feathers! Although rare. They have fur, scales, or bald like humans. They can be any variation of sorts! It’s crazy
- tieflings are technically minorities and don’t live in the highest neighborhoods. It gives them an even worse reputation.
- most famous tieflings also give bad reps. Like loviatar as mentioned.
- when tieflings get nervous, experience anxiety, or are upset. They’re known to wrap their tails around their leg!! Super telling.
- they can use their tail like a monkey, very dexterous about it. It’s about 5-6ft long.
- their ages, weight, height. All similar to humans. Idk how logical that is with 5 extra feet of meat behind them.
- tieflings are as sensitive as humans, same hearing. They usually have dark vision. And their body temperatures can be colder or warmer than humans.
- they don’t purr, sorry girlies. They’re closer to humans than tabaxi’s.
- tieflings don’t regrow horns unless they’re still young, though they do tend to file them down.
- there are so many tieflings bloodlines. I love the babau tieflings bc they’re already known as uncanny creatures. Babau tieflings are gaunt and skinny, darker skin, and a small horn coming from the back of their head.
- marilith tieflings are known to be seductive- more than they already are, and have dark hair. They have snake-like trails and have grey tongues.
- succubus tieflings! They’re like the ones you see in bg3, often have a small set of wings.
- tieflings can have so many fucking variations it makes me dizzy.
- tieflings can have bat winged like ears, that perk up and shit. I know yall think about ear movements.

Thinking about dhampir toddlers/lil kiddos again. Imagine needing to mop the ceilings and floors after they leave tiny footprints from the little ones spider-climbing because you know Astarion isn't doing it. 🙄
But since they're lil babus and clumsy with still learning how to use their powers they don't always stick perfectly to the ceiling. Sometimes they fall and Astarion panics SO BADLY. Literally yelling at you find a healing potion for them right NOW. Doesn't calm down until he realizes they're crying because they got scared rather than seriously hurt.
Eventually the kiddos get used to taking falls and learn to stay properly stuck to the ceiling. Astarion will 100% deny how badly he freaked out the first time it happened.

Astarion obviously loves having a partner he feels "safe and seen" with, but I think what he'd find more shockingly wonderful is when he finally believes the fact that he makes them feel safe and seen too. That's one of my favorite facets of his: he doesn't want a savior; he explicitly says he wants to be an equal partner and a support for them in his own right.
But think how much that goes against his history. He's spent 200 years as the monster set to prey on others and has been preoccupied the whole time with saving himself. He would find it so hard to believe that someone would really look to him for comfort. In a relationship, I think it would sneak up on him in small moment after small moment until his partner says something offhand about home being with him, and it's a quietly seismic event in his world, shifting his perspective of himself in a way he never thought was possible.
