That is 234 people. 234 children, teens and staff that had their life ended by a bullet in a place that is supposed to be safe since the Columbine High School Massacre. This does include the perpetrators, though, who are not victims in any way. There have been SO MANY others that have had non-fatal injuries that have also scared, hurt and traumatized our children. Parents send their kids to these places everyday, usually without this being in their mind. We need action. This is ONLY in America, they have the most school shootings. We don’t need guns. I’m sorry if you like to hunt or want to protect yourself but having an AR-15 will not protect your child during a school shooting. Please, PLEASE make this stop. I’m scared to go to school, and I’m Canadian. I’m begging you to do something, America, you’re killing your children. Rest In Peace to the 234 victims. ♥️

Nikolas Cruz confirmed to have been a member of white nationalist organisation ‘Republic of Florida’. The group has previously advocated for a “white ethno state” and “an open, violent clash involving guns”. Its leader Jordan Jereb has confirmed to AP that Cruz had participated in paramilitary drills carried out by the organisation.

11 of the 14 student victims from yesterday’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school shooting in Parkland, Florida were identified and pictured this afternoon. From top left to right, they are: Jaime Guttenberg (14) Meadow Pollack (18) Martin Duque (14) Nicholas Dworet, Joaquin Oliver (17) Cara Loughran, Carmen Schentrup, Gina Montalto (15) Luke Hoyer (15) Alaina Paige (14) and Alyssa Alhadeff (15). A twelfth student, Alex Schachter, has not yet been pictured but has been identified. Three staff members at the school were also shot dead by the gunman.

Johnson and fellow 16 year old co-conspirator Brooke Higgins were planning a school shooting at their Mountain Vista High School in Colorado. The two girls were entranced with the 1999 Columbine High School massacre and the gunmen, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold. "The Oregon Court of Appeals on Wednesday affirmed a Marion County judge's ruling that Kipland P. Kinkel's sentence of nearly 112 years in prison doesn't violate the Eighth Amendment's ban on cruel and unusual punishment. Kinkel, at age 15, killed his parents in their Springfield home on May 20, 1998, and then went on a rampage the next morning at Thurston High School, where he fatally shot two students and wounded 25 others in the cafeteria. Kinkel, now 33, is being held at the medium-security Oregon State Correctional Institution in Salem. The state's appellate court ruled that Kinkel already had challenged his sentence as cruel and unusual in an earlier appeal and to relitigate the same argument isn't allowed under state statute."
