The majority of people are horny. People are always going to be horny. You cannot stop people from being horny. Throughout history there have been extensive attempts to suppress horniness and they haven’t worked. You can be mad about it all you want but horniness will prevail against any adversity. There will always be an aspect of horniness within society. Sexuality cannot be contained by having missionary sex with your spouse alone in the privacy of a dark bedroom.

No, not really, not unless they try to perform an abortion themselves. Many of the women who seek abortions are victims who are being taken advantage of by unscrupulous organizations and ideologies. They are actively having important information about pregnancy and women's health denied to them so that they see abortion as the only option. Any law that imposes punishments for abortions needs to focus on the abortion providers. The ones actually murdering and tearing apart the babies. Before we can responsibly have a conversation about what, if any, legal and moral responsibility a particular individual woman has if they seek an abortion, we need to undo decades of misinformation and almost religious dogma surrounding abortion.

People need to know that "life begins at conception" is a scientific fact, not a religious belief. They need to understand human rights and how there can be no other rights without the right to life. They need to know that there is never a medical reason for an abortion, and that any doctor who says there is one is either dangerously ignorant of their profession, or lying and manipulating in order to facilitate the murder of a child.

Taking the time to change the way society views abortion will, in the end, do infinitely more to protect children and promote human rights than locking up mothers who mostly don't even realize why what they're doing is wrong.

Trauma didn't make me nice, I consciously made me nice because I don't want anyone else to suffer like I did. Trauma didn't make me strong, I made me strong. Don't you dare ever tell me my trauma made me anything but scared, broken, and confused. Don't give credit to the abusers for me being a good person. They didn't make me good, I made myself good.

you have any words of encouragement for trans youths(and i say youths like be being 25 wouldn't auto qualify me as one to some folk)

Being trans can be very lonely and difficult. Find folks who understand you and truly love you. Whether they’re online or offline, chosen family is everything. Cling to them.

Be authentically yourself if you can. Don’t hide who you are simply for someone else’s sake. You’re incredible and amazing. Don’t push all that down if you can safely be yourself.

If you live with unsafe people, find a way to leave them. They might say they love you, but it’s not really love if they’ll only love you if you stay in the closet or keep your deadname or present the way they want you to. There are resources to get you to a safe place. You are not alone.

Don’t be afraid to ask for help with your mental health. Therapy is one of the best things I’ve ever done. I’ve learned to manage my depression and anxiety. I’ve learned to manage my dysphoria where it doesn’t have to ruin my day or someone else’s. Those parts of my brain will always be there, but now I have some power to control how they affect me. I am doing things I never dreamed of before therapy. Find a trans or queer therapist if you can.

Do what you love: Play, create, build, climb. Find things that bring you joy and do them whenever you can.

Your existence is resistance. Waking up every day and choosing to be yourself in the world is a radical act. You are enough. You’re doing enough.

If you do have the energy and feel safe to get involved, please try. We’re all in this together. The liberation of trans people is directly tied to the liberation of all peoples around the world.

We all deserve to live without worries about who we are and how everyone else views us. I believe that day will come.

Every breath we breathe takes courage. Life will be scary. It will be hard. But it will also be beautiful and warm and exhilarating and worthwhile.

So I was writing a small paper in Microsoft Word and the program suddenly crashed (I saved a couple minutes before, thank god) and I get this message in the corner of my screen two seconds afterward

what the fuck

every time I hear someone say “we should just get rid of physical shops and have everything online” I get a bit angry because

a) physical shops are important for those who don’t have access to a computer/ internet/ ect

b) those “weird” and “niche” shops I love so much don’t have the same vibe online, they turn into just another website

c) I hate paying for shipping
