Why do you love Betty Ross? Is it the color red? I'd love to know your history with this character. ❤️

that’s a very valid guess!! honestly I don’t know when or why I started to love Betty. she’s one of the characters my brain just randomly decided to fixate on. I watched the 2008 Incredible Hulk movie when I was first getting into marvel and I was just obsessed with Bruce and Betty in that movie, I loooove Liv Tyler as her. so I just googled the character and found more info about her and her history as being pretty much just a damsel in distress and Bruce’s love interest, and after she had been a scientist as well in the movie, I was pretty bummed to learn that. but when I read about her eventually getting her own plot and storyline as red she-hulk and the harpy I was really interested in learning more about her!! I really love the way the writers used her really bland and sexist writing from the early days to turn her into someone very sick of being told what to do by men and very hurt by a sexist system her whole life. I’ve also just always been drawn to badly written women lmaooo, I feel the desire to understand and defend them because of how often they’ve been written badly by men for years. I just really liked the outline of her character and I think there were a lot of really great bones of her story, even in the older comics where she was just a prop for Bruce. it’s just a coincidence that her and Wanda are my favorites and are both red-centric super heroes actually, but I realized that as well and I love the connection!!
