listen, i enjoy campaign 3 but i know who my favorite daddies are :)

i'd wanted to draw Beau and Caleb portraits ever since i'd watched the c3 episode they appeared in (which i did like two days after it aired) and i'd been hoping to finish them before the mighty nein one shot but hadn't been able to in time. however, i have now! i'm only halfway through the live show but i do know that these designs do not contradict the official stuff too much, so i thought i could post them. i was very happy to see the empire siblings appear in c3 when they did, and it was a lot of fun trying to convey the solstice spookiness that i liked so much about those two eps 👀🔴

i have a few resources i look to consistently but i'm gonna plug anatomy for sculptors as One Of The Most Useful. great if you're a 3D artist, INVALUABLE if you're a 2D artist. gives you turnarounds of specific limbs/fiddly body parts like ears. great especially if you're referencing a photo and start looking at an individual part like 'wait, what the hell is going on in there'

can i share my other art motivation advice thing: when i was a kid, i convinced myself my ocs would get lonely if i didn’t draw them bc if they weren’t drawn, they wouldn’t exist anywhere or with anyone.
every time i draw them now, i tell myself it’s bc i wanna visit them so they don’t get lonely! it makes me want to draw them more!

Greetings everyone this is the PSA that now you can get the first chapter of my latest comic in PDF form 🎉 more details below 🔽🔽🔽
The comic itself is a fantasy coming-of-age type story that started off as me and a friend just rambling about D&D character backstories. It's now neither D&D nor a backstory and we're having a blast
It's all very loose and sketchy and we're working on it chapter-by-chapter at whatever pace we can. I post the full thing in advance + sneak peeks and random stuff on P@treon a lot. Also 99% of the new stuff you see on twitter etc (bug guy too) relates to it
