This 2004 mobile phone was manufactured by Motorola. It is a version of their V600 clamshell camera phone, so-called because the phone folds in half like a clam, with screen and keyboard on the inside. At the time, Motorola clamshell phones were considered particularly desirable, and this example is covered in a Vivienne Westwood-designed pattern with V&A/ Westwood logo. It was made especially to accompany the V&A's major Westwood retrospective and would have been sold exclusively through the Museum shop and via Westwood stores in the United Kingdom and Italy. Only 99 handsets were made of this particular design
