Wips I made of cute scenes but ever since I realized that blizzard will never give a fuck Ill just post the wips and never finish it.
Had a funny idea that Anduin becomes a broodmother for Wrathions whelplings. How? Magic, aint gonna explaint shit.
It was planned that Alex gave them the gift of life then i read she lost her aspect powers, oh well.

(not saying they should have made him into a broodmother that was just a random idea but the fact that they just shit on their relationship, romantic or platonic.)

Wranduin, a toxic relationship after all?
Im not new to this ship, years ago Ive also shipped it, to a lesser degree, while playing WoW on a private server. I liked it, the dynamic seemed cute and interesting and the characters seemed to have a backstory together and all was well, I didnt question anything, and soon forgot about this ship after I stopped playing WoW.
Now Im back, I started shipping it again, but soon I came to the disheartening realization that this ship may not be as cute as I thought.
Again, all my knowledge of this ship and the characters come from tumblr posts so I obviously lack information, but I need to vent about the things I noticed.
Feel free to correct me.
From what I could gather Anduin and Wrathion met as teens in Pandaria, they played chess and became friends (?)
After that they met again a few years later (?).
But instead of a hearty reunion, Anduin punches Wrathion.
I mean sure, Anduin been through some shit, but so has Wrathion and he still tried to reunite with a hug.
There apparently also were letters written by Wrathion to Anduin, which the king just plain out ignored.
Which makes me think, this sounds like a onesided, toxic relationship.
And no the punch wasnt full of sexual tension and unspoken lustful desires like Ive read in some posts, that was a punch full of hatred.
Blizzard seems to have overcorrected their subtle possible homo relationship into a toxic one sided friendship (while still put in a little bit of queerbaiting cuz why not).
Blizzard really mistreats the poor dragon.
And made Anduin into a petty toxic bitch.
Again feel free to correct me.

My two cents noone asked for...Wranduin edition.
Prior interests, easy solutions:
Ive read in posts that Anduin has shown interest in girls before (like a gnome and a dwarf) and a human girl named Tess, if Im not mistaken. And while this hints at a preference, its not really relevant, as he is a teen, and teens easily develop crushes. (even if he didnt show interests in boys before, maybe he just didnt find anyone interesting enough, or developed this preference later, could be anything) This doesnt even have to be redconnd
Either treat it as it was, random crushes of a teenager, or (Im not sure on the details but Im pretty sure his mom is dead) him seeing his mother in those girls, only realizing this later (mommy issues). Im not even sure what happened to those interests, I think those were from a book, which is already to be taken with a grain of salt unless it is actively in the game (at least in my opinion) I think Tess is in the game, what happened to her?
In any case, instead of making a drama out of it, with jealousy and hurt, it could easily lead to infinitely more interesting story arcs. (one of which Ill probably elaborate in another post)
Age gap. Homo bad, hetero good?
Wrathions age is awkward. I dont know the details but from what I could gather from posts he is 2 to 5 years old. Im also not sure if dragon aging has ever been explained in game.
Which doesnt really matter because Blizzard decided to not only give this whelp an adult human avatar, he also has the wits and behaviours (as far as I can tell) of an adult. While one can disregard the human avatar, since, from what I can tell, they choose their form, so he could just choose to look adult to not be treated like a child, he is way too smart and knowledgeable for a toddler.
Huge age gaps especially when a minor is involved is a bad thing, but in this case its between a dragon whelp and a teenage human boy. Both relatively young, plus the unclear aging of dragons. One could try to explain it like dog to human years, if you will. 2 dog years are 14 human years, which would make a 2 year old dog and a 14 year old human the same age. Then you could argue that dragons live a long ass time though so why would they grow up so fast, to which you could point to long living beings like turtles. Nature (especially in a fantasy environment) can be whatever really.
Imo, it does work, I do understand though when people reject this ship because of the confusing age gap.
But while I understand why, I also doubt this would be much of an issue if one of the characters were a female, seeing as loli relations are rather popular and weirdly tolerated.
Male friendships in peril:
An argument Ive read a lot, not only about this ship but any gay ship in any media, is, that the people who want representation, are trying to erase male friendships.
To that I say, where?
With thousands upon thousands upon millions upon billions of media, to this day moving forward, that involve two men being hetero friends, people dare claim that male friendships are being erased, while happily erasing possible platonic relationships between girls and boys because girls and boys cannot coexist without instantly falling in love and fucking. Friendship erasure seems to really only be an issue when its gay.
With hundreds of characters, main and background, being straight, you decide to have a temper tantrum about 2 (two!) characters possible being gay for eachother.
To which people may counter „Buts its a king and a prince! They cant be gay! They need heirs!“
Which leads me to my next point.
The scandal of a homo relationship and the need of an heir (and easy solutions):
There are many possibilites to make this work, especially in a fantasy setting.
Leaning on reality, we have adoption, which is less favourable since its not their own blood.
Or surrogacy, like many homosexual pairings like to do in for example India. Gay and lesbian couples come together to make children while still enjoying their freedom to be with the person they love.
Advanced science. At some point humanity will reach a scientific level where they can make artificial children in artifical wombs, with sperm and eggs they make out of the dna of you and your partner.
Which can easily be translated into a fantasy setting, that not only has magic but also uses science, like in WoW.
And finally, magic.
Having children only ever seems to be a problem when it comes to gays.
You cant deny homosexal pairings their biological children while at the same time being ok with human females being dicked down by various creatures, creating humanX hybrids.
We cant even crossbreed with other primates.
Those humanX hybrids also only work with either magic, or science (dna adapting mutations and the like).
In a world where human(or other)X hybrids exist, people use portals, people turn into bears, birds cats, a world with spirits and all kind of magical creatures, beings, monsters, environments, two gays having biological children is an absolute none-issue.
Reminds me of the adventure time drama, where people complained, that lesbians cant have eachothers kids. In a world with all kinds of magical impossibilites going on, this is the hill some people want to die on.
Another example, Steven universe. A gem forming a womb out of light, and giving birth to a human gem hybrid is widely accepted. Because why not, its fantasy science.
So why not give gays the same acceptance.
Is race/species relevant?
A minor point I just wanted to mention. For some antishippers race/species may be an issue in this ship.
The human king of Stormwind marrying another race/species. Would that be a problem?
A scandal perhaps, and it wouldnt be easy, but it would help race relations in the long run imo.
Besides, this is somehow only an issue when its two guys.
I think its pretty safe to say if one of them was a girl it would be deemed a romantic tragedy and theyd be rooted for.
Another point I briefly want to touch upon is where people argue that the existence of the characters on their own is being neglected. Both characters on their own are interesting, but its the dynamic they have together that is much more intriguing, they compliment eachother, and its cute.
I just wanted to vent a little about this.

Also I barely know the story of WoW, Im more of a level/gear grinding kind of player.

I had a funny thought.
All in all I liked Abyss, despite the horrible ending. So to make right to Asch, he gets reborn as Lukes and Tears daughter. I chose daughter cause the thought of an angry little girl is funny to me.
Her name would be Ashe, which means reignite or something in old tongue (totally pulled that out of my butt)
To give Asch and Natalia a happy ending, she could have either died of a broken heart, or died trying to change the world for the better, and also gets reborn. (possibly to Guy and his wife whoever that be, either as girl or boy)
They eventually meet again as teens, and live happily ever after.

Sketchdump
Hello, been a while.
Since I havnt posted in a while and i dont have any finished things, I thought id just post some sketches for the time being. I do plan on postingmore frequently in the future. I have a lot of comics sketched but never got my lazy bum to finish one, Ill try to change that.

First up Sormiks kid (I like to imagine what next generations looks like)
He has no name yet (choosing names is hard, if you have a suggestion feel free to tell) Sormik kid and auntie (now seraph) Rose.

Karol and Nans family. I kind of have a vesperia next gen project going, Ill post more of this. Karol and Nan have two kids. A daughter (possible name Lily, Ive seen in a lot of fics that Karol would name his daugther Lily because of his admiration for Yuri (which means lily in japanese I think) Lily is either 12 or 14. She found a monster pup and secretly raised it. Nan is not amused when she finds out. Lily fights with her beast companion. Her attacks would involver her beast friend. What kind of beast it is Im not sure yet, something doglike probably.Perhaps Karol became a blacksmith? Or leads a guild Idk. Second kid is a boy, he smol.
Concept art of old Estelle. I tried a lot of outfits and still havnt decided. (maybe middle row second from left, let me know which outfit you like best) She lives in Halure and reads books (some that she wrote) to the local kids. She has a daughter with Rita. The daughter does not have the moonchild powers.

I cant speak about Arise cuz I havnt played it (and probably never will because for whatever reason they apparently removed the multiplayer option) but Im not sure why people are surprised? also Im bamboozled how people are happy with “interpretation” and “subtext” which mostly is imagining things that arnt there, or the author leaving things vague enough to gain lgbt players while not alienating the heteros too much.
Yes I do ship ships like Fluri and Sormik, but I also know they will never be canon, it will either always be “open to interpretation” or straight up backpaddle into a straight ship. I am tired of this but sadly there is nothing but shit like this out there, at least in games. Cartoons are trying to increase rep.
While Arise is apparently a canon hetero relationship fest, I dont mind, as long as it is clear who is with who.
Fuck interpretation, fuck subtext, fuck crack ships, I want the canon real deal, and you cant achieve that as long as relationships between characters are vague, and “open for shipping”. Besides there will always be ships even with canon relationships, the thing then tho is that the canon shippers have the developers behind them and can shut down any shipping wars because it is clear what ship is canon supported.
Remember folks, most game devs arnt your friends, they want to maximize their profit (which is valid in its own right) and they WILL use queerbaiting, “subtext” and “open for interpretation” to get lgbts to buy their games and merch. In the end its all about money. Its disappointing, but reality often is.
As for them pimping Alisha to something she is not, I will say this: they ruined her character by removing her norminess. My friend always complains that in stories youre “only important if you are special” and a kinda agree. While she is a princess, her redeeming quality is that she has barely any resonance, and STILL kicked ass. She was a normal human who trained hard to become a skilled knight and giving her armatus shits on her normie achievements. Also pulling beloved characters down to lift one npc up is always a bad idea.
I kind hope they redo zestiria at some point, but Im also scared as to how they decide they will do it. (Probably removing all Sormik to appease to the dudebros)
While I love Zestiria, it had a lot of problems (coughcameracough), especially pacing and scenes. My friend and I were either confused or laughing at dramatic scenes because they were done so badly. It seems like they barely gave any thought to how to make the scenes engaging,and how to pace, and Im pretty sure they never playtest any of their games.
Same goes for Crestoria, man the story concept is nice but most of the story telling is meh at best. The story was wasted on mobile.
Big oofs everywhere.
Its so weird that the Tales of devs are so hung up on making Zesty the worst thing in the world because of how much they fucked up with trying to backtrack and how much of a whiney mess the dude bros side of the fandom became.
"we wanted to gain back the lost trust from Zestiria" bitch, you wanted to gain back the lost trust??? All your games at least felt inclusive with some space for identification for lgbt folk with subtext and stuff. Zestiria was as close to a canon mlm romance one could get from the entire franchise. There were no jokes at the expense of women and they all had an existence and character outside of the men. Even Berseria had a lot of subtext and despite everything that I dislike about it, had strong af characters. You took Arise and completely removed the entire concept of subtext and space for interpretation and made it het as fuck.
Also zestiria's story and mechanics problem? Yea many games have that but I don't see it being blown as out of proportion as this game. It wasn't that bad at all.
Look I don't care if you like arise and what have you, my problem is the devs need to stop blaming a game that a lot of people love for personal reasons for lost trust when it all only happened because of bad marketing, bad backtracking, bad damage control AND bad dicksucking of the deranged Alisha simps who can't write a narrative cause their hands are stuck in their dorito bags for the anime adaptation.
God when will this zestiria slander end. Why the fuck is it that the surprisingly progressive and wholesome game gets so much hate when its no worse than any other semi mediocre game?

B: I disagree, while I think both ways work, yuri losing shows that main chars/heroes dont always win and thats ok, because they are friends.
maybe i missed something but I never got the impression of the fight being about life and death, a friendly brawl you needed to unlock that goddamn coliseum thats all. What makes you think a gud boi knight like him is gonna kill his best childhood friend instead of throwing him into prison. thats literally his creed, yuri is the one killing people.
also I like the dynamic that Flynn is just stronger than Yuri, it makes for good angst fics. tfw your waifey is stronger than you.
Thinking about the Aurnion fight, and how it really works better for Yuri’s character arc if he wins. The whole game, he struggles with feeling inferior to Flynn, living in his shadow, and always being one step behind. So it makes for a much nicer resolution for him to finally beat Flynn, proving to himself that he’s just as good and doesn’t need to strive to reach Flynn’s level anymore. So really, it might be better if the game forced you to win that fight, because otherwise that character arc’s of Yuri’s goes unresolved, and he ends the game still struggling to keep up with Flynn just like in the beginning.
And yet. Can you imagine if that was the case? If you died in that fight and got a game over? Over ten years later and we would still be memeing about, “Can’t believe Flynn fuckin’ murdered Yuri lmao.” Obviously they couldn’t let Flynn actually kill Yuri! How terrible for Flynn’s characterization if the game lets him kick Yuri’s ass and then cut to, “And they were never heard from again….” The devs’ hands were tied here; I honestly don’t blame them for writing the version of the scene with Yuri loses. Better that than imply that Flynn can, would, and did murder Yuri.

Malevolance drunk Shepherd and his protective dragon bae
So Ive seen a lot of Tainted/corrupted Sorey posts lately.
And while I prefer my pure boi being a good bub, him fall to malevolance is still interesting, and I think in asteria there is a calamity Sorey thing going on.
I havnt finished the game yet and Im not 100% sure how seraphs and all that work, but how about a malevolance drunk Sorey walking aimlessly through the world and dragon Mikleo fiercly protecting him.
Smol dragon for a smol seraph. Obviously water dragon. Gotta protect his treasure.
