A scene I would loved to see if Eugenie and Louise after the escape they were attacked by Cavalcanti in the hotel's room.
Together against him!

Gankutsuou at theatre!!!
If google translate is not completly wrong
I was scrolling twitter in search of some Gankutsuou material (among all the FGO material, nothing against it btw ;) ) and I found something REALLY INTERESTING!
Apparently there will be on december of this year an event called 巌窟王 Le théâtre, with new actors to resume the role of the characters and to play the story of the anime in theatre!!
Now...
I don’t know what to expect to be honest, but I’m really happy there is still new things going on with Gankutsuou, even if it’s not a so well known anime.
If you search 巌窟王 Le théâtre on google the first site of the event is the first result, I will link the twitter account of the event in case:

If anybody is interested I'm readying the original novel and I'm taking all kind off notes regard characters, places, arts, references, trivias, ecc.
If I ever going to finish it I think it would be really useful for everybody if I ever post it, unfortunatly I can't promise anything since all the time I was not in this site anymore...
But I like beign on tumblr, maybe someday I will back :)
Keep the Gankutsuou love alive!!!!!

My top 5 anime
No. 2 Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo (2004)
Adaptation of Duma’s classic book- but this time it’s set in the year 5053 in Neo Paris. The other large change is that the story is not told from the point of view of the count but his enemy Fernand de Morcerf’s naive but good-hearted son Albert. Blinded by his intense adoration of the count Albert is unable to see how entrancing him is the count’s first step in his plan getting revenge on Albert’s parents and the whole elite of Paris.
The art direction of this series is something to behold. The flatness of the colors and textures feeds into the idea of unfolding tragedy which the characters are unable to stop from happening. The story touches on the nature of revenge and how one can decide their own faith instead of being consumed by their destructive urges.
cw: mild sexual content, death, grooming of minors, sexual assault, incest (if you know the original story you know what to expect)

ATTENTION MY FELLOW MUSICALS LOVERS :D
Guys, I want to make musicals video for Christmas. Hopefully it will be set to this very song from Russian musical Monte Cristo (don’t worry I’ll translate its lyrics), but obviously it will feature all my favorite musicals, maybe apart from Bruno Pelletier’s Dracula since the theme is masquerade/carnival, so it won’t fit in. As for Dracula: l'amour plus fort que la mort… I’ll think about it, but I won’t be using official music videos and as much as I love the troupe and songs I’m not very fond of the production from what I’ve seen on youtube. don’t hate me, please? Musicals what are gonna be there for sure: Romeo et Juliette (both original and revival), our TdV and Monte Cristo, Mozart l'opera rock, LND (London and Melbourne productions), PotO (25th anniversary), le roi soleil.
Do you want to suggest any other good musicals? It won’t hurt if there is quality footage from them around. :/ I’m mostly curiuos about musicals in German because aside from Tanz’s bootlegs I haven’t seen any. I never liked the language back in school, so I didn’t want to watch anything in it. Yeah… I’m probably a fool since I’m such a sucker for musicals.
btw if anyone liked the song here it is in full from the dvd. :D also, can I add how much I love Beauchamp? That devil in red? I totally have a crush on him. Ugh, I should stop with all those musicals crushes. xD
