EDIT: Tentatively sold! 

I just want to let everyone know that this mask shell is for sale! She is obviously not the prettiest princess at the ball, so I am selling it very cheap at $200, plus shipping. As you can see, the back is quite wobbly! However as you can see it’s not visible at standard angles and will mostly be covered by hair.

Once sold, I will do basic sanding/filling/cleanup, add ears, and cut out whatever sort of eyes and mouth the buyer chooses. (Two examples)

I will also please request that you prove to me you are at least artistically competent. Reject shell or not, I am proud of my work and want the finished product to reflect that. If you want, I can also draw you some pupils for you to print out on your own, for a little extra cash. The rest however is up to you! I have also posted this to facebook, and it’s first-come-first-serve. MY MASKS ARE -NEVER- TO BE USED FOR FETISH OR SEXUAL PURPOSES. That head looks to be coming along nicely. Doesn't look that complex, but I'm guessing you're more accustomed to doing Pokémon characters. Ergo, an Inkling's head is a bit out of your "comfort zone". Hope it turns out well! Stay Fresh and Stay Determined!

I suppose the complexity really comes from her size. she’s at least twice as big as anything I’ve ever worked on, and definitely brings some unexpected hurdles. Thank you very much!

ears sculpted and casted, mouth sculpted, and skin paint done! Just gotta get brave and paint on the black mask part.... maybe I’ll try to mask it off with tape and spray.. not sure.

Is that an Inkling head you're working on? If so, which particular Squid(kid) will it be upon completion?

She’ll be just a generic squid kid with orange hair! this is my first attempt on a project this big so nothing too adventurous haha

aaaa pulled a cast. I needed to get help from my bf and his friend to slush cast it, because the mold + silicone weighed like 30 pounds

Next is cleaning up the rim, cutting out the eyes, and adding ears!

slowly but surely. final stage smoothing with spray paint to spot low points and lots of spackling final layer of glaze.... now onto silicone!

Do you take commissions for the Animegao kigurumi masks and wigs?

Currently I do not, sorry! My current living situation doesn’t really allow for me to work reliably. I do however offer paper craft bases, and my blog has full tutorials if you’re artistically inclined!There’s also several people who take commissions for these already. There’s Wyu Ri, Charming Kitsune, Ride the Pig Studios, Justin Bailey still takes commissions... GouKaOu (can correspond in english), Nukopan (you’ll need to use japanese) and some more but I’m feeling lazy.

I’m gonna answer a few asked but if you sent me one a long time ago and still want an answer, please ask again so I’m not replying to some ancient and defunct question.

(reposted from facebook) Went to AFO this weekend and had a great time! I wore my favorite shirt and skirt on Friday just as myself, went to a few panels etc. I got a lot of compliments on my outfit even though I wasn't cosplaying anyone ;v; On Saturday I took Serena out for her first public outing. It was fun! My neighbor this-illusion made a fantastic handler despite never doing it before. Her vision is sooooo much worse than Iris's though, I really gotta slice a few more eye holes. I wore Iris on Sunday and I felt like I could do anything lmao. I wore Iris on Sunday mainly because I let said neighbor wear Serena! Well, "let" as in peer pressured XD It was fun though and I hope she had fun too!! Sorry my cosplays are such a hassle ;3; 

Iris and Serena got a lot of attention just by being together. We even got some photos in front of a pikachu beetle! Unfortunately my neck had been bothering me over the weekend, so I couldn't last long with Iris's heavy head and had to tap out sooner than I'd have liked. But Sunday is short anyway so it was nice to browse the dealer's room one more time and wander freely. On Saturday I met a lot of interested people! Prospective kigurumi cosplayers, people asking me how I made her, etc. I'm glad I brought that writing board. I even saw lucifer-ann and velveetadreams who made their own masks and they did a bang-up job!

It was awesome to see you guys! What a surprise. You did a great job on your masks, can’t wait to hear more about it!
