I didn’t delete the app but I definitely found myself closing out of it when I would instinctively click on it and then I’d go do a language lesson instead. once I got into this habit I actually stopped opening the app for weeks at a time and would come on to reblog a photo and fuck off again

i've been on a social media break too and idk if spending time in the real world makes the contrast worse but the focused, gleeful, celebratory daniel hate at every single slight perception of ANYthing is shocking to me. i can't fathom spending that much thought and effort and emotion on someone you hate? i signed on for this weekend and now i'm like that meme from the simpsons of the grandpa walking into the bar hanging up his hat, turning around picking up his hat and walking back out the door. social media feels broken.
