taking advantage of the fact that they're walking through a crowded place and holding their hand so that they "don't get lost"
maybe they get slightly jealous while out, so they grab onto their partner's hand to establish their relationship

mentioning that they want to compare hand sizes
pinky promising over everything so that it's easier to naturally intertwine their fingers with the others'

going in as if they're just innocently fiddling with the other's fingers, then trapping them about thirty seconds later

grabbing onto the other's hand out of nervousness
slowly intertwining fingers while the other is driving

“Yes, they have that luxury.”
For me the saddest thing is that Amelia and to a lower extend Marina think their mothers don’t like them, but I think it’s obviously they do and they recognize how talented and smart they are. But Amelia and Marina want to live a life different from what society dictates and their mothers know how unforgiving society, specially high society can be to women.
They are afraid they die soon, or worse that they end shunned and penniless when they cannot longer protect them.

I use this speech and the underlying theories a lot in my PhD, but Stella Young honestly had one of those voices that needs to be heard by everyone, so I figured I’d post my favorite part of the speech here. If anyone remembers that time I threw myself onto the floor For The Vine, you’ll know that I also hate the quote: “The only disability in life is a bad attitude”. Stella just conveyed the message with less pain.

By the time she reached the godswood, the noises had faded to a faint rattle of steel and a distant shouting. Sansa pulled her cloak tighter. The air was rich with the smells of earth and leaf. Lady would have liked this place, she thought. There was something wild about a godswood; even here, in the heart of the castle at the heart of the city, you could feel the old gods watching with a thousand unseen eyes.
Sansa had favored her mother’s gods over her father’s. She loved the statues, the pictures in leaded glass, the fragrance of burning incense, the septons with their robes and crystals, the magical play of the rainbows over altars inlaid with mother-of-pearl and onyx and lapis lazuli. Yet she could not deny that the godswood had a certain power too. Especially by night. Help me, she prayed, send me a friend, a true knight to champion me …
