what's the whole deal with rebelgon if you don't mind me asking? i never ended up joining but i've heard the name a bunch and it seems like an. Interesting situation to say the least
it was a server born out of a rebellion against its predecessor server “babygon,” and essentially the former server owner went quite mad with power and became a pretty cruel person to the other mods. this included, but was not limited to
- demodding a mod on the suspicion of ill intent towards the server (and because said mod challenged the owner’s “authority”)
- installing an audit log bot that showed every single thing any mod (or member) did because there was such a lack of trust
- ignored any other mod’s suggestions on how the server should be run
- placed “problematic” server members under surveillance
- filled the public server spotify playlist with insults towards two former mods
all in all, 0/10 do not recommend joining this server even for the sole reason of how much corruption is in the higher-ups
