Gay Man Flag Redesign!
Designed a few months ago by my good friend, @eiradescent ! They came up with most of the meanings aswell! The only reason this flag exists is because I was annoyed at the lack of Gay Man/Guy flags that weren’t rip-offs of lesbian flags.
Meanings:
Orange #ff9645 - Flamboyancy + GNC
Yellow #ffff45 - Love + Sexuality
Green #96ff45 - Diversity + Community
Light Blue #4596ff - Cis + Trans + Enby Men Inclusion
Dark Blue #314eb5 - Masculinity

Hello tumblr. I was very inspired by @radioactivebutch ‘s recent gender he coined called genderd*ke and I thought I might make a version for gay men called genderfag!
What is genderfag: a nonbinary identity similar to orientationgender but for gay men ONLY!! It is connected to your gayness and love for men and cannot be separated from it. It encompasses all types of gender expressions and pronouns that gay men experience/use/etc.
PLS ONLY USE THIS LABEL IF YOURE A GAY MAN / GAY NB!!
Here’s what the stripes mean
Dark purple: Gender nonconformity / GNC gays
Dark pink: Twinks/Feminine gays
Orange: Love, sex and healing
Yellow: NB gays and our unique gender experinces
Dark teal: Bears/Otters and masculine gay men
(Pls don’t use if you’re a “bi/pan gay” or something like that, ace/aro gays are more then welcome to use ofc!)

I saw a post pointing out the fact that that teal and blue gay man flag was literally just a recolour of the lesbian flag (and it was made by a truscum) so I figured I’d try my hand at making my own flag for specifically gay men?
If you’ve got any questions or critiques or whatever just shoot me an ask (I’m more likely to see that than a reply)

so i made a new gender
this is the flag for genderdyke! it is similar genderqueer in name, but its a more specific identity for lesbians. (could also be called genderlesbian for those who have are uncomfortable reclaiming dyke)
what is genderdyke: a non-binary gender identity that is inherently connected to ones lesbianism and is inseparable from it. many lesbians struggle with their gender because of how alienating being a lesbian is in society, and they may only feel a connection to womanhood through being a lesbian and nothing else. this is a label that i hope can encompass that!
stripe meanings:
lavender - mutual love and respect for women and other non-binary people  turquoise - womanhood and what it means to use personally, and how we navigate it whilst being a lesbian yellow - euphoria, both in the gender context and life. finding happiness and joy in who you are orange - butches, for their rejection of femininity and their power from being visible lesbians in society pink - femmes, for their reclamation of femininity and the way they make it for themselves while excluding men from their attraction
(this flag can be used by any lesbians, including both transfem and transmasc ones! please do not use this flag (or label) if you are a “bi/pan lesbian”, or a man)

Sorry for posting a lot but I just wanted to make this post cuz it’s important!
So as you may or may not know, the pan flag we all know, the one with a pink stripe on top, yellow and middle and blue on bottom, was made by a bi lesbian supporter. So someone on Twitter made a new flag, adding three new stripes that were simply darker versions of the already existing colors, but that flag was found to be transphobic. Basically, the top stripe represents attraction regardless of gender, and the bottom one represents attraction regardless of sex. This is obviously bad and transphobic; someone’s biological sex shouldn’t affect how you feel towards them, the way they present should. This sounds like something a TERF would make.
Anyways, long story short, Twitter user @gunslinqer made a new pan flag (image depicts the flag and each stripe’s meaning).

Personally, I think it looks quite nice.
But now you might be wondering, “Sayori, why did you make this post?”
Well I’m glad you asked!
As one of the requests I do is pride requests (I am again emphasizing this, it’s icons and themed flags!), I wanted to clear up what pan flag I’ll be using: the answer is… it depends.
If you don’t specify in your ask which pan flag you want, I’ll default to using this one, but if you specify that you want the OG pan flag, I’ll use that one. Simple!
However, please note that I will not be using the transphobic pan flag. Not only is it’s meaning unsavory… it doesn’t look appealing if you ask me. But that doesn’t matter in this.
TL;DR: old pan flag bad cuz bi lesbian. New pan flag bad cuz transphobia. New new pan flag cool and I use.

[Image ID: Two 3:5 flags with 6 horizontal stripes. In descending order, the colors are: violet, purple, cream, seafoam green, green, and brown.
There is text displayed on each stripe of the second flag. On the violet in stripe reads “Community & Friendship,” on the purple reads “Love | Gay Aces,” on the cream reads “Diversity in Gender & Gender Expression,” on the seafoam green reads “Attraction to Men | Connections to Manhood,” on the green reads “Sexuality & Sensuality | Aro Gays,” and on the brown reads “Gays of Color | Diversity & Intersectionality”. The text on the violet and brown stripes are white while the rest of the text is black. End ID.]
I wanted to try my hand at making a gay (mlm/nlm) flag! For the colors, I took inspiration from the blue larkspur (Delphinium ajacis), in reference to the myth of Hyakinthos, and from nature in general. Since the main color inspiration is from the myth, I’m proposing this be called the Larkspur Gay flag.
Stripe colors and meanings:
