Interrupting my unnecessary shit posting for something that is actually important

George Floyd, Rekia Boyd, Aiyana Stanley-Jones, Tamir Rice, Sandra Bland, Jordan Edwards.....These are just a few of the beautiful angels, whose lives were stolen from them and their families, MURDERED by police. It shatters my heart to know that there are so many other beautiful cherubs who have been killed, all of them innocent. When the people who were supposed to protect the innocent are killing them (especially CHILDREN), we know hatred and hostility is poisoning whatever humanity is left in this horrible, twisted society.

Do not look away. Do not close your eyes or stick your head in the sand. Remember them and tell their stories. NOT ALL LIVES MATTER UNTIL BLACK LIVES MATTER

There is no "all lives matter," get tf out of here with that, if you actually believe that, you are not welcome on this blog, get out now.

As a white person, BLACK LIVES MATTER. POC are actively being oppressed. White people are not and do NOT try and play the oppression card with me. We have privilege. Society was set up to benefit whites and it still is built that way. Prioritize black and poc lives because they're the ones suffering.

things i’ve noticed about being an essential worker at a grocery store:

customers forget that you’re people too.

even with the amount of signs and warnings around the store, people still don’t listen.

younger and middle aged, fully able bodied people are so ignorant to the fact that disabled and elderly people exist.

boomers and millennials are the WORST at following the rules.

Honestly we all sleep on that scene in Austin Powers (1997) where Austin has been lusting after and pursuing Angela Kensington for the whole movie but then when he actually has a chance to have sex with her, like she’s in bed with him and trying to kiss him telling him how much she wants him, he gently moves her hands away from his body and says “no darling, you’re drunk, it’s not right,” because she is and he knows she’s not in any state to consent no matter how much he wants her, and he very tenderly tucks her in and takes her bottle of wine and puts it away and in the morning he makes her breakfast and is a total gentleman about what a mess she was last night and never mentions the way she was crawling all over him or makes any lewd jokes about how he totally could have fucked her like goddamn Austin Powers was a woke king doing it right 23 years ago and none of us noticed bye.

Doll Skin - currently active; all female band that makes you wanna punch a nazi and they have some of the coolest guitar bits

The Distillers - currently active; fast paced punk music that doesn’t disappoint

The Interrupters - currently active; ska punk band opening for the hella mega tour. they sing about mental health and the usual punk topics

Destroy Boys - currently active; a smaller punk band that will make you wanna overthrow the government and has toured with Slutzville

Slutzville - currently active; married lesbians who write songs about hating the government (songs on bandcamp: https://slutzville.bandcamp.com)

The Runaways - not active; teenage all girl punk rock from the 70s

Joan Jett and the Blackhearts - not active; similar to the runaways as they were fronted by the same singer, but less teenage rebellion

Siouxsie and the Banshees - not active; definitely more goth leaning, so their songs are less aggressive/ violent

Blondie - not active; origin of the punk rock and new wave movements, but have more of a pop edge

No doubt - not active; ska punk that’s similar to early paramore

i was talking to my s.o on the phone last night and we were talking about how we like the term ‘partner’ more than ‘girlfriend’ or ‘boyfriend’, this is how the conversation went:
