Meet Sweaty. He’s a 42 year old absol and lives with his human mom in Castelia, Unova.
Some Absol headcanons:
I do think part of why Absols have such a bad rep among people is partially due to folklore of them appearing before and after horrific disasters, but also because they have such a human face. Imagine seeing this mf in the dark woods watching you. Something that looks human, but is not. Something that sounds human, but is NOT. Follow this by a horrific landslide.
Do you see the problem. Humans remember human faces. Predators sometimes mimic their prey. Absols have the truly unfortunate evolutionary quirk of falling into both categories.
So yes, there was a huge stigma against absols which led to a pretty severe population decline.
In modern day (much like wolves), Absols have become media darlings, in large thanks to a the help of pokemon rangers who utilize Absol’s ability to sense weather as an indicator when to evacuate. They are a very long lived species and need lots of intense exercise, often declaring huge swaths of land as their personal territories. Absols also tend to get very anxious when they feel they do not have enough space, so keeping them with other pokemon’s usually a no no.
Sweaty’s mom used to be a pokemon ranger and found Sweaty stuck in a refrigerator. Nowadays, she lets him free roam—much to the chagrin of every other person in the area. Sweaty in turn makes himself a nuisance to the local icecream store, begging for treats.
(The kids love him. He comes home with ink and paint stained everywhere and it’s a nightmare to clean.)

watching mob psycho 100 right now and the funniest part of this show to me is that mobs status as an esper is well known at his school and no one gives a shit. and that would lead you to think that espers are common enough its no big deal to go to school with one but no theyre so rare one of his school friends thought he was the only one. and yeah they still dont really care. imagine how fucking wild it would be to transfer to that school and everyones like 'yeah thats mob hes kind of lame. also psychic or whatever' and when you reasonably respond with 'HES PSYCHIC????' everyones like 'yeah and kind of lame. anyway-' i would go insane. i would go insane!

Headcannon that Atsushi had more black streaks in his hair. Akin to the stripes on a tiger.
And when the kids cut his hair, they made a game out of it. To get rid of every last one of those "stripes."
Now only one remains.
Atsushi starts to find the black hair growing back, he tucks em away because he's afraid they'll be cut again.
But sometimes the wind will run through his hair and they'll be revealed.

Jason and Octavian who had been close. Who met as children and have fought together and had a close bond.
And Apollo making a comment about Octavian and Jason just loses it with him.
Turns on his heel, gets in his face and demands he takes it back. And Apollo is caught off guard, because he's not used to people speaking to him like that.
But also because this whole time Jason has been nothing but the poster child of good behaviour.
With one line, it vanishes entirely.
"I get that you aren't happy with this... But don't you dare, don't you dare... Not here, not infront of me."
In any other scenario Apollo might've said he can do what he wants. But he doesn't, not here.
He looks at Jason and sees someone else, someone aged beyond their years and in so much pain.
"I wasn't aware you knew him."
Jason chuckles but it sounds like a son. There's tears in his eyes but they don't fall.
"I was there when he lost his first fight. We got put on probatio, so many times for staring fights." He sniffles.
"He fought by my side, always on the left because that's where my vision was the worst. I sheilded his body when he fell, snuck him sweets into the infirmary."
Apollo looks down, guilt hitting him for making Jason so upset. It was easy, he supposed to make his descendant nothing but a monster.
To forget there was always more.
It was easy to forget Octavian wasn't much older than he was now.
"I... Didn't know."
Jason smiled and it hurt.
"Why would you? We're nothing to you." Apollo wanted to deny that, desperately.
But he said nothing.

It's common trivia that the children of the Big Three have ironic fears.
Percy, son of the sea, fears suffocation.
Nico, son of the underworld, fears the dark.
Bianca, daughter of death, feared dying.
Thalia, daughter of the sky, fears heights.
And though we don't get much screentime with Jason's past, I loved him feeling crushed under the expectations as a son of Jupiter, trained from 2 years old, and volunteered as Praetor.
The son of the king of the gods feared leadership.
