Is it just me or are the new tumblr users convinced there's a penalty of some kind for using this site like it's meant to be used?

female protagonists will literally go through 30 life altering traumas at the age of 16 and you ppl still have the audacity to call them annoying bc they cry about it and act like teenage girls

“the haunted house, like so much gothic fiction, is about the connection of the past and present; the grievous loss that reaches out across the void to reclaim its own. The unexpiated sin that stains the present and exacts its terrible revenge.”

I've been studying Claire's character for a fanfic I'm writing, and I want to talk about Desmond's prophecies. Obviously he kept seeing Charlie die, but most of the situations would have also caused Claire's death. The lightning would have struck her too, she would've drowned when Charlie drowned, and she was involved in the bird snatching. The only conclusion I can come to as to why Desmond doesn't see her die is that she manages to survive all these things. So, my question is: Is Claire immortal to some extent? I mean, she survives being blown up in season 4 and a bunch of other shit.

"I like playing strong female parts and independent women. At the same time she’s still a mistress and she’s still a woman and she uses her power. She uses her beauty, and that may sound contradictory, but I think it’s very natural. So, for me it felt very natural to play this part, actually." — Lotte Verbeek
