waaaahh..... 🥺🥺🥺 you know as insecure as i get sometimes i really do love my art! it's all i have! it's my only thing! it's my favorite thing! i love to do it and i have to do it and i will never stop doing it <3 hoping to continue experimenting and having fun and growing and developing and making work that speaks to me before anything else :^]

Im the guy who likes mold, i feel ok enough to come off anon now that i know u agree lol idkkkk its so attractive i have a mushroom guide book and i used to pick mushrooms and stuff that reminded me of my bf and id draw him covered in mushrooms and mold and stuff. Very fun to draw. Its all very pretty and i thought literally no one agreed with me cause i could not find anyything of people talking about it

that's so cute and romantic <3 i love fungi and mold and decay.... like aesthetically it's all very beautiful, but there's also something exciting about the instinctual disgust reaction that goes along with rot. mold specifically is hot to me for a lot of the same reasons that make infection and contamination and parasitism hot. be careful babe or i'll bloom inside you and make you sick!

i've thought about it......... i have ideas on stuff to offer like sketches/wips/unfinished art, early art, drawing requests, maybe even my writing like flash fiction/short stories, book/film reviews, zines, a monthly newsletter..... a patreon exclusive community with monthly double feature viewings? as always the insecurity gets to me and i feel like i'm not worth it/my art isn't worth it, but i don't know, maybe i should gauge interest!

obviously the ideal is for some hot rich old pervert to make me their live in artist/pet with my own studio and nothing all day but make art. if that's you then hit me up. i'm driven, i have both a great attitude and basic math skills, and i'm willing to relocate!

more from beginner's ceramics <3 a lot of my work in the class ended up being about cleanliness and disgust and rot. i really liked the idea of making dishware that already looks used or discarded. dishware that is not sympathetic to the eater at all.

your works are so beautiful i think they're the residue when i drank the last bit of milk out of my cereal bowl before school and the dried wax on my fingers when i dipped my hands into the basins of candles, the sensation as I scratched a quarter on the candy-colored lottery ticket and got four houses in a row, the pus as I was so brave cleaning my volcano of a wound at the family reunion, the gaze of a taxidermied deer affixed to my grandfather's cabin wall, and they said I should be a doctor with my fascination with wounds, i could help, but I couldn't look away from the squirrel spread across the hot street on the corner near my house.

I am utterly obsessed with your art, absolutely love it to pieces. My favourite is probably a tie between catch and release and how to gut a fish. Out of all your art I keep going back to those two. I don't know how else to explain it other than they make me feel visceral. Seen and (if you'll excuse the wording) caught and trapped with no other option but to be on display.

I'll be honest you've inspired me to work on an anglerfish piece I've had in mind for ages. It's (very) slow going, but it's going!

for whatever reason i was embarrassed to be taking pictures of my art that i put blood sweat and tears into during critique setup so i only have this sneaky shot, but here's all of the rot series together. i had four orange bowls and four apple cups in various stages of decay and a pitcher, pot, teapot, and mug meant to be as disgusting as possible (someone said, quite complimentarily, that they look like the kitchen floor of an applebee's) + good pictures of the apple and worm mug because i like it 🍎

do you have a preference if people order from your inprnt or your big cartel? do you get a bigger cut from one?

i get pretty much everything from my bigcartel and i get to be in charge of print quality, making sure everything is shipped properly, adding freebies and stuff like that. i only have those three egg prints right now, but i'm saving up to order more soon :^]

inprnt is convenient and i get a decent cut, but i've soured on the site due to how long it's been taking to receive payments (often only after I email support about it) and the near constant sales. i'm fine with sales, I want people to get my art without having to pay a bunch, but it does look suspicious when the sale that's "ending soon" is perpetually being extended for "one more day" or whatever

eventually i'd like to make my shop the only source for physical prints, but in the meantime if you want a certain print or it's cheaper to buy from inprnt then i don't mind. or if you're outside the us and shipping is outrageous, you can buy digital downloads on my ko-fi shop and do what you want with them <3
