After leaving Howard University because of differences with its president, Woodson devoted the rest of his life to historical research. He worked to preserve the history of African Americans and accumulated a collection of thousands of artifacts and publications. He noted that African-American contributions “were overlooked, ignored, and even suppressed by the writers of history textbooks and the teachers who use them.” Race prejudice, he concluded, “is merely the logical result of tradition, the inevitable outcome of thorough instruction to the effect that the Negro has never contributed anything to the progress of mankind.”

In 1926, Woodson pioneered the celebration of “Negro History Week”, designated for the second week in February, to coincide with marking the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass. The week of recognition became accepted and has been extended as the full month of February, now known as Black History Month.

it always pained me that so many black people think that black history month is in february as a result of some plot by racist whites to just give us the shortest month of the year. that’s not why black history month is in february and every black person who believes that belittles the great work of carter g woodson.

Gender Incongruence is not the same as Gender Dysphoria.

Gender Incongruence is what one experiences when their gender does not align with the one they were assigned at birth.

Gender Dysphoria, the experience of discomfort with ones body or specific aspects of it, is often a result of Gender Incongruence BUT is not always present in individuals who's gender does not align with the one they were assigned at birth.

Gender Euphoria, often overlooked by transmed/truscum arguments, is the feeling of joy or comfort when one's gender is reinforced. Gender Euphoria and Gender Dysphoria are not mutually exclusive. You do not need one to feel the other. In simple terms: you can experience gender euphoria without dysphoria.

As a, possibly reductive, example; Gender Euphoria can be like having a really good day. There's nothing wrong with it. You're fine. And then suddenly your best friend rents your favorite movie, gets your favorite food, and you guys spend the day together. That good day turns into a great day.

It's the same for nondysphorics and gender euphoria. You're fine in your body and you're comfortable in your identity, but someone calls you by your pronouns and treat you as your gender identity and it feels really comforting and can make you feel very happy.

So, to be clear, as I have said so many times;

YOU DO NOT NEED DYSPHORIA TO BE TRANS.

Heres the thing most of the American Democratic party is centrist to low right

With a few that can be considered liberal

I need the Democrats to understand something.

If they send out checks that are even one dollar short of $2000, there is no way in Hell it will not backfire on them HARD.

People were told “$2000 checks!” the whole time. It was a campaign slogan, they put it on posters, in campaign ads, speeches, it was a goddamned mantra that they wouldn’t let you forget.

So when they turn around and suddenly start saying “$1400 will supplement the $600 you already got.” People feel lied to, and rightfully so. A deal that suddenly comes with an asterisk after one side has already upheld their end, means they will never work with you again if they can help it.

Anytime the Democrats claim that they are working towards solving a problem, most people are going to remember this and conclude the Democrats are full of shit. It’s long been said that the biggest obstacle for Democrats in an election is voter apathy, but they never consider the role they play in causing that apathy.

If the Democrats really really want to be able to hold onto the momentum that gave them power to affect lasting change for eight years rather than getting kneecapped after two, they need to get people the $2000 checks they had promised.

No Caveats. No loopholes. No bullshit.
